Hello, my friend from DUST514 gave me his EVE Online collector's edition 60 code yesterday so I could see if I liked EVE. Since then I haven't even been able to finish the tutorials because whenever I unlocked or made a jump my laptop would black screen and become unresponsive. Can anyone offer a solution? I'd really like to try out this game.

Without any other information: Have you checked that all your drivers are up to date, and did you try to run in lowest possible graphics settings? Intel GPUs are sometimes a bit problematic.

I did check my drivers and I set the game to the Performance preset which I believe was the lowest preset. I didn't went to manually mess with the setting when I changed it since I didn't know much about the game yet.

You could try the solutions here. As written in the post, the EVE client has mixed feelings about Intel Graphics.

Please let me know if this helps.
