I of course only drink quality stuff at home, just finished a bottle of Johnny Walker Red label and I am now working my way through a Johnny Walker Black Label.

Quality.

Johnny Walker.

This thread reminds me of the feedback threads on ship balancing. Everyone having different opinions about why xyz is better than abc. A strong sign of balanced ships. Of course now we are talking about drinking the good stuff and we have the same responses on what is better and why. Maybe they are balanced? Is it odd that CCP Fozzie is involved in this somehow? Why are we disusing this instead of drinking? And, where the hell was I?

bah if you enjoy the taste of wood. yuck.

you need good old canadian whiskey... like 40 creek thats the good stuff.

My bottles of 12 year old Ardbeg and Laphroaig are weeping.

Did you just disparage rot-gut whiskey by comparing it to Canadian whiskey? Lol

cant say i have had the pleasure of trying either of those... but if they taste like wood chips then yeah i am...

tbh guys just try 40 creek. then we can talk... otherwise we have little context for comparison.

its like trying to balance a ship without using sisi.

**** yo McCallan, I got Pappy van Winkle. Also, I mix nothing with Jack Honey. It's just so good on it's own.

Endorsing Woodford Reserve in this thread.

If I make it to next year's fanfest, I guess I'm going to have to get a bottle to Iceland.

Also, I've been finding Armagnac rather tasty. It's a single distilled brandy, so it starts rough but has a richer flavor when aged. Sempe 15 year is what I've been sipping on there.

Also, for the Scotch fans: Glenlivet 15-year french oak?

Anslo! I still haven't tried Pappy van Winkle. I've heard great things. If you're Fanfesting, smuggle a bottle in? Pretty please?
