Are these still going to be upgraded for the Winter Expansion? As time goes on without word I'm starting to get nervous that they will fall through the cracks again. Any timeline on a blog or future info?

It looks like its just a speed boost from the t1 versions hull.

Where did you hear that? They're supposed to be getting a fourth bonus, aren't they?

We really wanted to do Assault Frigate improvements for Winter 2011 but it will not make it into the first release. We are aiming to make it happen sometime after the initial release but at this stage we simply cannot commit to a date.

This is something that we really want to do so you can be assured that it has not been forgotten.

Why don't you start by describing the glaring problems with the class?

Assaultfrigates are fine and are widely popular in low-sec, small scale PvP.

They said they were going to buff them. I was simply following up. Nothing fancy here.

I know that they've said that. But this upcoming buff are the result of years of mindless complaining from people whos strongest argument is "Where's our fourth bonus?".

It's time someone made a coherent case for why they need a buff – it's not like they are a rare sight in the environment they are supposed to function in which is small scale pvp.

How about at least giving them their fourth bonus, and switch one of the Retribution's high slot to mid? It should take very little time, and can always be rebalanced later if something go wrong.

Rezynna isn't that quite normal in any (software) development process?

First you acknowledge the issues, decide which ones you will work on, then make a timetable. Not all features and fixes make it to the release.

AFs really aren't the most important thing to fix. Many would agree that they aren't broken at all, I see them flown a lot and they kill stuff.
