Nobody is blaming Razor. In their position I'd have done the same thing. I'm happy for them!

I think the point everyone here is missing is that the CCP Dev who was leading the event instructed everyone to jump in to Doril. More than once he insisted, "Everyone Jump!" and "Jump! Jump!" and kept insisting people go in.

Of course, this being in a unique in-game event where nobody knows what to expect (and in-fact it is stated that our goal is mysterious and unknown) why wouldn't we follow the event leaders instructions? We had already followed him from Ihal to Doril. We were participating in an event he was leading.

The fact that CCP lead everyone to their doom is so outrageous. This was a disaster on a cosmic level in the gaming world. I've never even heard of anything like this happening.

Just in case this hasn't already been said before. I'm sure it has, but again would be a good idea.

RAZOR has been staging in Doril for the last 2 months. So no, we didn't get intel from ccp devs before the fight and rush there. We were already there. And you guys just showed up in the middle of a war.

Sorry for the destruction and sorrow. Welcome to 0.0. If you enjoyed it we are taking applications. Big smile

Firstly, every event like this has people ganking. You should have planned to be attacked even if you initially thought it was in high sec.

Second, two and a half hours before the event started, CCP posted the news article calling capsuleers to the pirate side. From that point it was abundantly clear this was a PVP event, not a PVE event.

Many people got through the gate camps fine. Many people planned ahead and either went around them or through them. I flew a stealth bomber straight through 4 camps, bombed a couple of random fleets and had a blast. If you wanted to participate in a PVP event you should have prepared better for it. Gatecamps are not particularly hard to avoid.

Popular Low-sec and Null-sec entries are virtually always camped and of course the CCP fleet took the most direct path there. Had you bothered to punch in your destination system and take the safest path instead of the quickest on your route you probably could have avoided half the camps anyway, certainly the Meves fleet was able to do that. And you would have avoided most of the TIDI by flying through other systems.

I posted in there just for you buddy your so silly its unbelieable. So i'd just like to welcome you to Eve Online where **** gets real, REAL FAST! (or just at the click of a button if that button says 'JUMP' )

keep feeling safe in high sec with your epic 'pvp' where the worst thing that can happen is you forget to bring cap charges or whatever carebear thing that makes it something where you just press you buttons and wait and see who has the best tank vs dps.

allso your 'terrible' loss of a epic pvp fit raven must have real sunk into your wallet it was after all a staggering 190m loss there about not even to mention your pod! it must have had all the carebear implants it could muster!

Thanks for letting us have a fantastic laugh at your expence. ( is what nearly all 0.0 entities will say about your 'fabulous' posts in this thread ) they are Tears to us that we gobble up like no other Pirate

as for CCP? well they like their game their ENTIRE GAME not just high sec or 0.0 they like EVERYTHING and are probably the only once that are aware of most of the workings between High sec, Low sec, 0.0 and WH space. You can have 'done' all 4 but I doubt you will ever really get all the workings between these 4 places because they are incredibly different and they are probably the only once that really know how different. So dont blame them for high sec mistakes they see the game as one thing unlike the rest of us I frankly only care about 0.0 in general unless there is fun to be had elsewhere on the same level or scale. And most likely so do you only care about high sec and 'your' part of the game. Well too bad CCP dont see the borders we make :) (I myself have been annoyed that 0.0 has not been as directly involved before this time since thats 'my part' of Eve)

somehow I wrote more than just a taunt and a lol I guess you made this alot more enjoyable to read and watch unfold than actually being there on my alt shooting all the ships too pieces Blink

I heard this and smiled you see the character who I sent to the slaughter I expected to die whether in null or high even though his ship was pretty decent I just thought to myself with lots of people around someone is likely to go bang and I thought there was a good chance it would be me. I lasted longer then the 25secs I had predicted but then I've never flown In TIDI before (it allows for some great screen shots btw) and my pod almost made it out the bubble haha.

The only two things I was disappointed by was the absence of story during or afterwards I really thought by now ccp might of told us who we went there to kill besides you lot of course Lol . and how and what has actually occurred. Other then that it was mostly fun.

The other thing was the mix up on the high sec end you see I thought we where staging in sarum and I knew some people bought freighter loads of ships there just to burn. However jumping the 23 or so jumps away meant that those ships where left in sarum unexploded. I know its sad..... btw I'm a carebear :)

Someone didn't have fun...

Conversely, the Caldari Prime event was a hell of a fun time. Lost like, 4 salvaging destroyers that day, and still walked off with about 400 mil worth of stolen mods and salvage in a 2 hour period.

Luck has a lot more to do with RAZOR's success here than anything else.
The claim that they may have been acting on inside information is amusing.

They knew names of FCs in our fleet, they knew positions of our scouts - that's how our fleet jumped right into bubble and FCs were popped almost instantly.

Let me clarify.
They probably had information from inside the fleet, yes. I was referring to CCP inside information.

Surely nobody would put alts into a completely public fleet. Could you imagine the dishonor?

ITT: pubbies who somehow expected not to be a pvp magnet when flying in a fleet of a few thousand blinged out ships piloted by highsec dwellers who have never seen a gatecamp before

I think you don't have a clue how rich are high sec dwellers if you consider T3s, fleet issue battleships, t2 logis "blinged out ships". Those who lost 3bill pods didn't even bother to come on these forums to say anything. It's just minor inconvenience for players who used to lose 2-5bill worth battleships on regular basis.

p.s. Also many of "high sec dwellers" are actually money making alts of "null dwellers". There are rumors about null income is a bit exaggerated.

p.p.s. Once again: people aren't happy with CCP, how "live event" tourned out to be cheap F2P-like PvP gameplay instead of some sort of dramatic content with exploding titans and stations, it's nullbears who are trying to build their propaganda around "major" ISK loss which was replenished in two-three hours.
