Why can't I right-click in space ? my cursor changes to a crosshair also and only relog changes it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

My in-game cursor changes to a cross-hair without the four lines, and then I am unable to "right-click" in space and select a station etc..?

I keep doing this at least once a week by accident, and I cannot find a shortcut to restore it back, so I have to just relog to fix it. : /

Any ideas what I am accidentally pressing that would cause this very annoying change?

have you tried hitting esc key?

Done my time in null sec, now I'm just a Privateer wandering around High and Low Sec.
