People seem to be forgetting the fact that the Mechanic, whether OP or not, is not enjoyable and does not fit into the way Eve works.

Its horrible, and it needs to be reworked completely as a mechanic, not nerfed.

The guy is devoting 3 slots to counter 1 ewar, got into a fight where odds are already against him, doesn't ***** about the 4vs1 but points the fact that 80 sensor strenght got him almost perma jammed and people still say there's no problem with ECM ?
For real ? So glad i don't play anymore.

In fact I was not there to fight this gang but I land on the gate at the same time than them. I jumped and they chased me. Before I had the time to make a Safe in the system the Omen tackeld me and them I was forced to engage.

That is not the point though. Stop raging for nothing.

Best counter to ecm ships, like most ships, is the best ship ever: friendship

Eccm works fine in my experience. I find most people just give up when ECM goes on them, have missed entire cycles on people and they didn't even try to target anyone... I'm thinking that is what happened here.

Excuse me, but what the f*ck are you desu?

Raging ? "ok"
You do realise i agree with you right ? Read again my post please : i say that 80 sensor strenght should be enough to counter efficiently a blackbird, and i don't understand how people can argue against that. Now, of course, to each their own, if people think a single BB MUST shut down a ship with 80 sensor ...

I hate ECM. It ruins SOLO pvp, it is only about luck or not luck. It is only my opinion.

But I would like to show this: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=20358161

I was perma jammed during il this "fight"...

How many ECCM should I put on my ship?
Using three slots of your ship to fit Three ECCM modules it means sacrifice tank, damage, and more...
For what? Nothing...

Seriously there is a problem.

Fly yourself with ECM support. Countering ECM with ECM might work. Plainly, any usage of EWAR might help?
All-in-one-invincibility is thank God not really an option in EVE, and such events show and remind us that EVE is an "MMO" overall.
The only option that come even close to solo-PvP-"arena's" I am aware of are FW-complexes. In general, most pilots fly in fleets, or have allies nearby.
I have never seen EVE as a "solo"-game, so, that you got "destroyed" as a solo-pilot in a 4v1 without any chance of even shooting back is just what you deserved I guess, and that was their strategy, to shut you down and punish you for being isolated, without any gang. :)
Accept your punishment in honor and uprightness, and group up with your goon buddies. :)

You're missing the point, he fit his ship specifically to resist ecm yet it was still perma jammed throughout the fight.

Permajammed doesnt compute with being unjammed for about 6 seconds.

Equally 6 seconds sounds extremely suspect given jammer cycle time if we assume that the pilot fired all jammers at once (and against a single target...why not?)

And whilst we're on the topic of perma-this, perma-that...where are the perma-damp threads? The amount of people I've seen popped with a damper orbiting outside of lock range and in a faster boat.....or the perma-TD threads?
