Hey guys,

I am a bit overwhelmed - who should I be running missions for? More specifically, what is a good strategy for me to determine which faction I want to boost / which LP store I want to make use of?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

you don't want to boost faction standings, it will limit you travel possibilities and not give much in exchange.

you might want to gain standings with some corps, which will give lvl4 agents and decline missions against other factions.

find a station/system (system 0.5 for best profits in highsec) with few lvl 4 agents that you have/will have access to, so you won't have to wait 4h if you decline mission.

and remember, high faction standings mostly means that you will not be liked by 2 other factions (gallente/minmatar vs caldari/amarr) and at some point will start shooting you if you enter their territory

Sisters of Eve for the good LP conversion. You can avoid faction standing penalties by declining storyline and faction kill missions, however it will still go down slightly, once it gets too low you should switch to a corp that belongs to the faction which you have the lowest standing.

The smaller the corporation the faster the standings gains. Just a thought.

Be careful what you think, for your thoughts become your words. Be careful what you say, for your words become your actions. Be careful what you do, for your actions become your character. And character is everything. - author unknown

(edited the middle out)

I would argue that these two points are not true, I ran missions with all 4 empire factions to gain access to the Epic arcs. I now have standings to run missions for over 200 pages of High sec LVL-4 agents (In Game Agent finder). I also have the ability to drop in POS pretty much anywhere in high sec (over 7.0 with all 4 factions). With the added benefit of access to all the LP stores has made a great addition to my game play.

To the OP, if your are interested in keeping the standings balanced then run mission for the Intro corps for the epic arcs, and make sure you train Social to 5 so you can get max standings for each completion. I will list the first ones you should strive for (Impetus, Ministry of Internal order, Brutor, Expert Distribution), once you have 5.0 with those you will find it easier to get to 5.0 with each faction over time. You can speed this up by running DMC's 'The Plan' but either way having good standings with all 4 empires is a good thing.
