Try clearing the cached data in the EVE Launcher, by either clicking the settings icon (if you can) or using the key combination Ctrl+S. Then switch to the 'Cache' tab, and choose the 'Clear all cached data' option. This will clear out the cached webpage and restart the EVE Launcher, hopefully resolving your problem.

Good evening.

I also have Issues with starting EVE through Steam but my Launcher doesn't start at all.
So there is no way to clear the Cache of the Launcher that my Steam starts. I already cleared the Cache on the regular Launcher but It does not help with the Issue.

Are you able to provide any logs files? The EVE Launcher should log them out to the launcher\cache folder within the EVE installation, which will be within the Steam installation tree. If you're able to find them, it would be great to peruse them, if you can post them to a site like http://pastebin.com/

Thanks for the response CCP Atropos! Big smile

Here is the requested pastebin, my Launcher settings are on the top and the newest log is on the bottom.

Your logs show that you started the EVE Launcher, and it was running for around 30 seconds, and that you even clicked a link in it. I'm not sure I understand your problem given the logs you linked me to. Could you reexplain the issue, since it's early and I'm probably missing something Big smile

Hey there.

Well, I'll give you a ticker about what (or what not) happens:

  1. I open Steam, browse to my Library and press "Play" when EVE is selected.
  2. I can clearly see the blue reticle next to my Mouse, indicating that something works in the background.
  3. Nothing happens.

I use the "Out of Steam" Launcher (The Launcher that is INSIDE the Steam Directory but I just directly click it) at the Moment for my First Account (The Steam Account is my secondary one), maybe that has messed the Logs up.

Logging in via the Steam client very difficult. Click EVE Play on the Steam library page. The cursor shows loading. Usually a bootloader starts as a background process and so doesn't appear on the desktop. But this throws a switch in Steam marking EVE as running. If one ends the background task in the Task Manager, Steam continues to see EVE Launcher as running, so won't start it again. If one digs into Steam/steamapps/common and clicks eve.exe, the launcher runs but shows login for regular CCP accounts without any option to log in via Steam. Very rarely, the Steam launcher works as intended for no apparent reason given the rest of this mess. So it's not only broken but worse it's flaky.
