Ghost sites and Sleeper Spawns/Waves

Will the new ghost sites have sleepers already spawned and create multiple waves like the data and relic sites already do?

Probably not, since ghost sites operate on a timer instead of killing waves of rats.

Also, even wormhole ghost sites will have pirate ships instead of sleepers in them.

yeah, looks like it'll be pirates, they won't drop loot, and they won't give bounties. They're just there to ruin your day.

It'll be interesting to see what rats they put in there with some of the item bonuses.

To be honest, I wish they would be more consistent with EVE Lore when doing some things. Sansha Kuvakei supposedly stages those free money events... I mean, incursions... from a wormhole system. Why can't we roll into that system on occasion and pillage his fleets while they stage to invade high sec? It'd be interesting to see wormhole space become a major source for the extremely rare Revenant BPC by ganking a sansha mothership before it deploys.

Sansha is obviously hiding in C7 space.

No loot no bounties and not sleepers. Why would you want to escalate? Are you desperate for scrap metal?

Why would i want to do a site on an invisible timer. that gives no bounties or loot. . that also requires the hacking mini game to MAYBE get a bpc for an implant.

I am not a lucky person by nature (just ask anyone whos played a moba game with me when i get a hero that has lots of 'chance on attack' skills).

So basically I am looking at bad luck on the invisible timer... bad luck on the hacking mini game, and further bad luck on the potential drop, with the ever present threat of having my ship exploded. . :S

I would consider this if you could actually see the timer to give us bad luck guys a chance to escape unscathed.

New wormhole industry opportunity: we're about to corner the market on shuttles.

Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/

That cans don't scatter like data and relic sites. Plus, the 2 types of depots will most likely be common drops, with the delta and epsilon being uncommon drops. The only rare drop would most likely be the Omega. Of course, this is mostly speculation.

It would be interesting to see if tye ghost sites will differ among wh classes. This may make C1/2 whs a bit more profitable for those w-space divers from k-space. WTB more large bubbles. Lol

The sites are on SISI, and even the ones in WH space seem to have random pirates, I have found Cartel, Serpentis and Guristas at them.

An important note is you DO NOT want to bring a t3 to these. whatever ship you go to them in is VERY LIKELY to get blapped. the rats have 0 value, no loot, bounty or salvage ( not even scrap). people will probably just throw t1 frigs at these once found, or maybe cov ops with their hacking bonus, but basically you go in and hope for the best. Run out of time? your dead, fail the ahcking game? your dead.

Unless those implants end up being seriously valuable most of us are going to ignore these.

Side note Sansha's money ops are not staged from WH space. theyre staged in Jove space

The sites should be the same for all of W-space, no matter the class. So same loot from a c1 and a c6.
Since I can“t play on Sisi a bit more detailed intel on the sites would be appreciated Cool

Having tested them substantially more thoroughly last night I retract my statement about t3s. They changed the way the DMG is applied. A sturdy T3 should be able to handle the explosions just fine. Frigates and most cruisers, even if tanked pop to the explosions, and if they dont the rats will probably eat them. However I would not advise trying in any ship that doesnt have an inherent bonus to data/analzing.

There are 4 levels of "covert research facilities". Lesser, Standard, Improved, and Superior. With the difficulty of the hacking/analyzing minigame increasing in difficulty as you climb. They come in Gurstias, Blood Raider, Cartel and Serpentis flavors. I assume, although cannot confirm that the value of loot/amount rises as the difficulty does.

Superior level sites are, as far as I can tell impossible without T2 mods/lvl 5 hacking, featuring extremely intense piles of restoration nodes/virus supressors, but maybe i just suck. I spent over 30 min trying them with no luck can after can.

Right now either the loot is bugged, or your going to have a hell of a time getting anything out of these, many cans are flat out empty, to include entire sites, and when you finally "strike it rich" its a 1 run BPC. The rats spawn, blow up the cans, shoot you, and then leave after about 20 seconds, so as long as your tank doesnt blow they wont kill you. If you manage to kill one they drop nothing.

I an concerned about the true value of these sites, given their difficulty. SInce they are also supposedly going to be "rare" I fear many a good ghost site will get wasted by noobs warping to it, and I questuion how valuable the implants/mobile depots will be, but only time will tell I suppose.

Tl;DR; they have pirate rats, they can be pretty hard, dont use a frigate, loot quite minimal.
