As soon as someone tells us all how to fix lag completely I'll be happy to join the crusade to get rid of TiDi.

I'll even point a finger at it and laugh at how we thought it was a reasonable alternative to black screening.

God damnit CCP tidi is such a dumb ******* feature. I would rather crash to black screen. Took me over 7 minutes to jump through a gate. It is game breaking and beyond annoying and makes me want to quit every time I have to deal with it.

Wait..... seriously:

When more than 200 people are activating hostile modules on the same grid, scale the visuals back to just a black screen with brackets flying around. Play EVE as normal.

When more than 1000 people are activating hostile modules on the same grid, you are reduced to nothing but your overview and your module buttons. That's all you need to fight effectively anyway.

A: Still more fun than a frozen client, a melting graphics card, and a $17,000 blob of pixels blinked into space dust, without you even knowing you're dead until enough pods die to allow your computer catch up with what happened to you.
Also, a black screen with your overview and a few buttons is pretty much the same thing as a frozen still-frame of what was happening 2 hours ago... only with my idea, you are actually aware of time passing, and can see ships vanish off your overview, and your supercap's HP falling. PLUS, you can actually do something about it. So, my idea is, in fact, superior.
