Okey so i just switched to Mint had a little problems to get eve running (not much at all... but i got stuck at a very easy thing lol.. was tired thats why)

But now i can start the game log in and play... The problem is that the music when i lauch the game is like almost whitenoise... (dunno if thats the right word... it just sparkles or something like my speakers are broken) and when i get ingame there is no sound at all... (i have removed the jukebox.. and i think its the music that do that sparkle... might be all sound... havent done anything except undocking and checking something)

Anyone have any idea how to fix?
ive tried chaning the options in WineCFG but that dont do anything...

State your wine version on your next post.

Things I would do to test it:
- First check and test sound from winecfg. You should hear a woosh sound.

- I don't know if Mint is using alsa or pulseaudio, you might need to do some extra stuff if you are using pulseaudio. State which one you are using on your next post.

- Do the test that you were going to do. Disable music, see if the other sounds are ok.

- The jukebox works with recent wine versions, but if you got an old version, you might need to rename the jukebox folder.

- Disabling eve voice is another one, as you have tried.

I have some sound glitches as well that I need to look into when I have the time, but mine happen when another app other than eve (or a second eve) tries to access sound, and breaks the sounds in the prior eve client in the process. I usually need to disable-reenable audio in the eve client as a workaround when that happens.

I tried doing as you said (Test sound on winecfg) no sound when i test (with any settings) It says it uses Winealsa.drv... and for some reason it crashes often when i try the test sounds button... Maybe its broken? i havent downloaded updates yet (for the whole system.. might include wine updates) and im doing it now.....

Juke box is disabled

I read the forums, but Slackware 13.37 32bit and wine 1.3.32 is working. For once I have fewer problems with Eve than my Windows using friends.

I have a fruit cup and I'm not afraid to use it.

Have you figured out if you are using Pulseaudio or Alsa?
