She certainly doesn't help dispel racial stereotypes regarding Civire.

I'm sure she'll get a brief bit of fame on the chat show circuit that more than covers the medical expenses.

Who knows? She might have a lucrative career ahead of her in the professional wrestling circuit.

By pointing it out, sir, you've ensured that we'll be doing it intentionally.

Then I am proud to be of such importance that idiots are willing to expend effort in a vain attempt to offend me.

Nice to see Mordu's Legion are actually doing their job effectively for once.

Anyone else get the feeling that the only reason they bothered to report the woman striking the dropsuit with her bare hand was to embarass her, though, right? Like, it's a worse punishment than being arrested or fined - being known as "the woman who thought it was a good idea to punch a dropsuit."

Her sole mistake was in not using her chin.

Humility will serve you well, mister Irixus. We neither have to be important to earn that spite, nor does misspelling a name cost much effort to begin with.

You could become the toy of idle amusement for someone who's celebrating having a very good day.

Do you know what? I'm going to fund a hand-to-hand training package for her. The last thing this poor woman needs is snide comments from the peanut gallery.

If misspelling my name for personal amusement (and publicly admitting this is what you're forced to resort to for personal amusement) is the greatest victory you can claim over me, I'm sure I won't lose much sleep.

If the most you can do is pick on a rather nice guy who tends to mind his own business who mispelled your name, then it's small wonder the State suddenly owns Feddy low sec space.

Snide? Yes, but probably not at who you're thinking it's aimed at, I'm certainly not going to applaud someone for breaking the law and engaging in an attempt to damage an attempt at a peace process though.

Last thing this situation needs, Tuulinen, is short sighted patriots funding civilians and turning them into weapons.

I would rather send her several crates of firearms and her own dropsuit.

I'm not sure that hand-to-hand training will turn her into the sort of threat you envision. If anything it'll teach her to keep her head.

You're a gentleman and a scholar, Anslo. Probably decisively ending the fun I was having, but probably for the best. I really should have fun by going to a bar.

Any suggestions? I'm in the Gallentean end of the woods.

Hell if I know, father. Depends on the system. I'm out in the Bleak Lands now. Haven't hit Gal space in a bit...

Huh, times must change, I lived there a few years ago and it was rather dead, lacked even a basic market worth mentioning.

The Intaki solar system is in the hands of professionals now.

The Federation was expelled from the system. And, luckily, the Democracy is no more!
So, cut it out with useless talks and just let professionals do their job.

Actually, as to planetary affairs, the Intaki form of democracy still prevails as per the agreement with Ishukone, but your is emphatically made.

Pieter Tuulinen wrote:
On the upside, I now have access to those restaurants I came to love so much on the Intaki homeworld.

Since you're an aficionado, if you happen to be planetside while I'm visiting, I'd be glad to show you some off the beaten path culinary locations which outsiders (even Gallente ones) rarely have access to. I can't promise you the romantic nostalgia, though.

Pieter Tuulinen wrote:
Despite Intaki's regular changes of 'ownership' I imagine very little of the War actually touches her surface. The only Intaki who will flee are ones who will spend the duration of the occupation singing patriot songs in certain themed bars, elsewhere in the Federation. It's certain that the State will not ethnically cleanse whole neighbourhoods and move Caldari colonists in, only to use those same colonists to bar your return.

For a long time, this was very much true and to some extent it still is. Ishukone's deal with the Assembly is relatively fair. However, some of the fighting has spread onto certain districts of the planet which is perhaps unfortunate, but ultimately foreseeable considering its location within the war zone and now also its symbolic value as something to fight over between the two belligerents. This remains a core piece in separatist rhetoric, because sovereignty could result in a change for the better.

Pieter Tuulinen wrote:

"Many are the men and many their stories. Those who have the courage among you, travel far away from the Kaalakiota Peaks, travel to other men and other Winds. Haakkin k'len! Return when you have walked all the Lands, and when you have heard all the Tales."

As someone who has so many memories of distant stars, now old and forgotten conflicts as well as countless beautiful vistas around the universe burned into my brains I can certainly appreciate these words. Ahh, and on that note it is good to be back among the stars, fellow capsuleers. It was high time to get this dust off my clothes.

One thing that this discussion, as well the recent news concerning the Legion's role on Caldari Prime (and to some extent in the Intaki System), is that if there is going to be understanding and cooperation between the Federation and the State, the Intaki are likely to be at the forefront of such proceedings. Before such an unlikely time, we'll be poised between them regardless, playing a variety of roles as the stars burn in these contested regions.

Actually, as per the agreement with Ishukone, Intaki government is not affected whatsoever, and remains a member of the Federation regardless of illicit occupation by State forces.
