It may have been proposed before, but I couldnt find it in the archieves so here it goes.

Add:
... an "Optimize Route" button somewhere else then just the "Map"

I understand why it currently is there (in "Map"/F10), ... as it basically works as your navigation-computer-with-all-the-data-you-ever-need-and-ow -here-you-can-optimize-your-current-route-with-waypoints-too!

And for this reason I'd like that option somewhere else too:
- I navigate alot by just going through my peoples and places and assets,... and I basically have absolutely no need to go to my star/galaxy maps to set up a route.

So the whole act of switching to it, just to press the "optimize" button on the "waypoints"-tab, and switch back to my ship view in space, ship in hanger or my char in captains quarter, is silly. A three clicks and unneeded graphical screen switching, which can be simplefied by a one or two click option and no graphical screen switching.

I say graphical screen switching, as adding the option somewhere else too, would smoothing experience as I'll not have to load the Map then and load (where ever I was first) the previous place back, 2 seconds later, ... (and ha, dont worry, I got a great graphics card, but I hate the reloading when it should not be needed and can be solved differently)

The most obvious place to add such a button or option, would be in the (small) route overview, which normally is on the top-left.. When you right click the little waypoints now,... you get the following pulldown info:
- Show Information
- Set Destination
- Add waypoint
- Bookmark Location
- Show on Map
- Show Solar System in Mapbrowser
- Avoid Solar System

So this partly already has some features that are in your Map cq navcomputer, ... and adding a "Optimize Route" option would be very suitable there.
