1st post here so please dont go too hard on me!

Im a new eve player (around 2 weeks) and while i level up skills i decided to do the most lucrative activity that required little SP investment.....station trading!! Big smile

As such i googled for useful tools, read a lot of post, started making spreadsheets and one the tools i used the most until now decided today to go down - goonmetrics!!

As i know very little of the game and only a bit of the goons reputation, i dont know if this is a temporary outage or if they decided to make it so goons only can use it which is why i come to ask what alternatives there are.

Iv googled a lot of market scanners so far and although i found some with customization, but too much in fact (i would have to introduce the ID's of items 1 by one or item names one by one, and most dont even allow this.

I was wondering if there is anything that allows me to scan in the same way goonmetrics did (for example i just want turrets, or just skillbooks)

Anyways thanks for the help and hope you have a nice day!Attention

WoW xD thanks mynnna for the update (no joke i realy got scared)

(im impressed that the Goon CSM member himself would answearShocked)

still wonder why everyone thinks you are the bad guys since you have made a number of awesome tools available to all eve players - and thanks for that btw!!

Maybe ill even try to join you guys now that i know you are just a pain in the ass in the game and not outside of it! (and as such use the rest of goonmetrics capabilities!!)

again thank you a lot and ..

Because you are new to the game Blink

Goons like (really like) to take things away from other eve players as well.

There is absolutely no problem being the bad guys. But they have a reputation for being the bad guys precisely because they have cultivated that reputation in the game. They are pretty decent chaps (most of the time) on their home forum.

First off mynna has been MD for quite some time so even as a CSM he still hangs around here.Usually even when people are part of the CSM they like to hang around on the same forumspots as they did before is my believe. After all they too need to

And people think goons are the bad guys basically because they got a verry large mouth on the forums , like to make all sorts of tasteless links/text in local and basically like to behave like a 12 year old bully.

Same in fleets and on comms they're nice guys mostly and a good sense of humor , out public though they are ******* annoying most of the time .

Think i should feel myself blessed that i encounter them more in fleets and on comms then Blink

well i always had the idea that everyone is eve IS the bad guy so it seems that its just more or less they are the most successfull bad guys P

Just make sure you have enough to cover the joining fee. As I said, they are decent chaps and will even run a jump freighter down to null to save you the trouble of moving your stuff out there yourself.

This is a well-known, efficient and reputable service. You will be amazed by the professionalism involved in the whole operation.

joining fee? this is exactly what iv heard about people paying and then no accept (scams). I need to research if this is actually a thing because a lot of people have been scammed this way Lol

How would one know they are not being tricked? I mean if there is a thing goons have a reputation for is for scamming poor newbies like me Twisted

Goons are generally smart enough to know that (very) new players have nothing worth stealing.

There are, however, some exceptions.

The only way to really the Goons would be joining a sub corp of the Alliance, or if you want to join the corp Goonwaffe you need to be a member of the Something Awful forums (costs like $10 to join) and you must follow their rules precisely or you could lose the account you just payed for. Heres a link with some information https://wiki.goonfleet.com/Joining_GoonWaffe.

Unless you are following the steps with Something Awful and their wiki, do not believe anyone else saying they can let you join if you pay, it is always a scam.

Huh? My bio has a quote from someone who got annoyed with me not being a scammer and claimed that I was not scamming in order to take advantage of people. I thought that was pretty funny, especially the way he put it (he had a nice turn of phrase). If you think that it actually means I'm a scammer then you should hang around MD a bit longer Blink

As to taking my post seriously, it was meant to be obviously inaccurate for the purposes of (obviously misplaced) humour. Since you said you were aware of the goons' reputation for recruitment scams I didn't think you would take my recommendation of their most well known scams seriously.

Edit
Smile I see one of the lines I quoted from Elise was 'RAW loves it when noobs get scammed'! I don't and have spent quite a lot of time on this forum helping people avoid such things. Elise was fielding an argument that the only reason people here don't scam is so they can benefit from ... well, I forget exactly what his argument was in detail as it never did make much sense to me. But it did drag on for weeks. I just liked the title of spacejesus though, so put it in my bio.

You know the funny thing is we do legitimately rent space now and there is a CFC run jump freighter service offering legitimate service to said renters.

hm, now that i think of it, are goons allowed to scam PBLRD? as in: 'you have proven yourself competent enough to join GS, please contract us your stuff for freighter service'?

It's treated just like scamming any other blue entity.
