Nah. Not my trailer. Was just showing an example. There's a surprising number of people who have trailer rigs for their FJRs, though.

I just strap all my **** to the bike like a real man. No pop-up camper for me.

This winter I'll be adding GPS and some power plugs, but that's about as far as I'm going to be modding my bike, I think. Already have frame sliders, highway pegs, a powerlet outlet, throttle lock and a few other things.

yeah, no leathers. but I don't ride much anymore. i have a feeling it was a phase that has more or less passed. like my military service--a death wish. had to get it out of my system. (it was bad. i used to walk up to suspicious mounds and kick them on patrol. it depresses me to admit that.)

I leather up Cool

And I did stupid **** on patrol all the time, you see a 120mm or so shell lying on the ground, you have to throw rocks at it to see if it does anything Big smile

same if i see a hornets nest i don't kick it but i make sure it's disturbed.

I had a Suzuki RV90 when I was a kid. Had big fat tires which I hated, but they were actually great for handling mud, and especially sand. 90 CCs of terror! Roll

My two older brothers had a Triumph Bonneville and a Honda Gold Wing 750. The Triumph collided with a car. The driver didn't see it coming through the green light and made a left turn in front of it. My brother (Brother A) flipped over the car at 45 mph and landed semi-standing up. One wrist and one ankle broken, he was lucky. Another half-turn (or one less half-turn) and he'd have landed on his head.

The Gold Wing didn't get hit by any cars, but it wiped out on gravel going through a curve. That was on an paved country road with very little traffic, and my brother (Brother B) was trying to beat his personal speed record. He lost some skin sliding on the asphalt and ended up with a big spot worn off of the back of his helmet. Good thing he had a helmet on, eh?

yup, and thats also why you wear good motorcycle clothing. I had a college a couple of years back(got a different job now) who also used to ride, didnt have a bike for 6-7 years, then got one again, some 1200cc supersport bike. Cant remember the type, but 1200cc supersport is a great bike to jump on right away after years of not driving right?
Allready had a nice start, picking the thing up with a trailer, driving it on the trailer, trailer moving forward from teh momentum and punching a hole in the back of his car. Then deciding to drive the bike home(didnt even bring a helmet). At least next day he got to wrok with it he was wearing a helmet. And a shirt and shorts Roll

be honest if a cop was to jump in front of you let's say waving a torch and yelling stop what would you do? i'd probably try and run him over or at least scare the bejezus out of him, if asked later i'd say opps, i though it was just some drunk person. Lol

i always had supersports. my theory is that it will only go as fast as you twist that throttle. i know there's a lot more to it than that but there is no good reason you cant jump on or learn from a supersports. it's all down to respect really. but yes it's more likley to bite back if you do screw up. "little" 600cc supersports have the power that gp bikes had only a few years ago. put that in the wrong hands and it's a letal combination thats without even factoring in the mum on school run with 3 screaming kids in the back, the **** salesman on his mobile making the next deal. animals. etc etc etc.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX11 1994... My first bike, I bought it two years ago. Hell of a fast ride.
