ME Effect On Waste Formula

I've been using the formulas here: http://wiki.eve-id.net/Equations

When I use the ME waste formulas I get more than I expected. For example using a Small Shield Extender II Blueprint with -1 ME which requires 78 base Tritanium and the BP has a waste factor of 10 the formula would go;

ROUND(78*(10/100)*(1--1)) = 8, rounded from 7.8 which added to the base Trit = 86 required however on Fuzzwork it shows as 94, same in EIPH

Where is the extra 8 trit coming from? I'm using PE 5 which gives no additional waste afaik

Check your maths

ROUND(78*(10/100)*(1--1))
= ROUND(78*(0.1)*(2))
= ROUND(15.6)
= 16

ME 4: 2% waste
ME 3: 2.5% waste
ME 2: 3.3% waste
ME 1: 5% waste
ME 0: 10% base waste
ME -1: 20% waste
ME -2: 30% waste
ME -3: 40% waste
ME -4: 50% waste

If ME >= 0: effective Waste = Base Waste / (1 + ME)
If ME < 0: effective Waste = Base Waste * (1 - ME)

That's it, there should be brackets around the ME if it's a negative.

Doesn't matter if there's brackets or not.
(1-ME) 1 minus -1 is 2, not 1.
