Im not sure about the rest of you, But I fully Believe Metal Scraps Belong under the Salvage Table not the Loot Generator... Is there a way to get Metal scraps coming out of Salvaging instead of looting wrecks. I do both, I just find it wierd how many ships out there holding onto Metal scraps in the cargo bays..

..don't they come out of both already?

reinforced metal comes out of Salvage from what I seen. Always gotten Metal scraps out of loot itself. Personally feel it should come out of the Salvage Table instead of the Loot Table.

Metal scraps come from both loot and salvage.

What are metal scraps used for anyway? No one has ever really answered this for me...

You can reprocess them into Tritanium, iirc they have the highest amount of Tritanium per m3.

Edit: I am probably wrong about the amount of Tritanium though.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Every 1 m3 of metal scraps reprocesses into 100 m3 of tritanium,

Ah I see. Do you need a specific skill or refinery/reprocessing plant type?

No, you can reprocess them just like reprocessing any other module or ship. However the skill scrapmetal reprocessing will reduce the waste from reprocessing them.

Also I believe you can get a max of 500 units of trit per scrap metal.
