I'm sure it will be fine if you just raffle it off....

I've got all this jewellery that *COUGH* totally fell off the back of this lorry. It's all nice gold and diamonds and shiny! Start your isk raffle bids now!! Shocked

I love it when stuff "falls off the back of a lorry"..... some of my favorite possessions have been acquired like that.
It happens more often than one would think.

That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right...

So you want to make money from other's ideas? What could be wrong with that?

Go to any anime, video game, sci-fi con, etc and spread this word to those seller booths selling custom artwork featuring characters, or costumes bearing star trek insignia, buttons featuring franchise logos, and about 90% of any of the goods there to be bought that's not just simply reselling already packaged retail items.

Anyway.... couldn't someone give such items for free, but then just charge an exorbitant amount for "shipping and handling".

Only if Somer Stink does it first.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Actually....

Back in the day of the old forums, around 2007/2008 ish, I remember some people actually used to sell out of game services such as designing/making forum signatures etc, which technically was selling an out of game service for in game isk.

Wouldn't this be analogous to what was previously permitted by CCP?

Just playing devil's advocate here.

This. It still happens in the form of news sites and killboards.

It is, however, infringement of CCP's IP, and can land you into RL legal trouble.

Just wondering though, because forum signatures used to make use of either the avatar pictures, or images of ships etc., and so would be analogous to a physical model of EVE ships?

Slowly but shurly (dont call me shurly) making a 3d printed chess set... of eve ships... (need more vertical ships, hard to make some of them fit in a square lol)... not rushing it, but hoping to present it at fanfest, painted and complete...

And I'm sure plenty of the wonderful propaganda posters and fliers made for militias or alliances in war might've been done for isk.

Not sure why CCP doesn't allow it today, in fact, due to the nature of what they're trying to represent with EVE they should practically encourage that sort of internal growth and fruition. So many ways to make your isk and hammered into our heads that we make what we will out of this universe, so why not also have talent and skills pay off. I'm sure that if EVE were 'real' there would be lots of design and contract work from the empires, corps, and alliances for some really nice recruitment posters and war propaganda.

Of course it'd be against their EULA or TOS. You'd be infringing on their intellectual property to do this. If you wanna make money, just design your own stuff, and sell it instead of relying on someone else's designs.

Mask what you want to do beneath a gambling website/lottery and all things become possible for 'valued contributors' to the community.
