Out of Game Events and Gatherings

I know absolutely zero people IRL that play eve, but there's got to be some people from the Mitten that spend their time aboard virtual spaceships!

I'm considering putting together some sort of meetup for Mid-Michigan players and anyone close enough that's willing to drive. I'm from the Lansing area, I'd probably hold it somewhere around here. I used to be on an in-game mailing list for Michigan players but it seemed to completely die out long ago.

If you're from Michigan and would be interested in some form of local meetup to meet some fellow players in the flesh, post up! This would probably be in the spring sometime unless there's a lot of interest for something sooner.

I also have some EVE friends from here in the D as well as the west side that might be into a meetup, depending on when/where.

EDIT: The Michigan mailing list died out quite a while back. There's also a Michigan channel that's been dead for over a year.

Why don't we join "Michigan" channel in game for now? I just joined and I'm the only one so let's resurrect it. I'll be in it when I'm online. I have a 9-5 in Detroit so I'm usually on in the late evenings and random times on weekends.

I'd love to run some level 4 missions with MI folks with my RNI. I'm training and saving up for a Tengu (Honey Baked Hamgu?). I can fly it but it gets it's shields kicked in rapidly ATM.

Anyone who isn't in the "Michigan" channel, please join it. I'm currently in contact with Taelok, the creator of the channel to get admin rights. I would like to create a spreadsheet where character names and locations would be recorded. This would be accessible to all, and allow you to quickly find out where everyone's from.

If you would like to be added to the list, please send me a mail with any info you'd like to have listed on it. I understand many people prefer not to give out personal information, and that is ok. This list is 100% voluntary.
