"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events.   • Multiple character training - Forum discussion
    • CCP Xhagen talks in his latest dev blog about training all your characters on your account. This is an extension of the popular dual character training and allows you to train also your third character.

  • Community Spotlight: Aura - Forum discussion
    • CCP Eterne presents in the Community Spotlight series the Aura app for Android. With this app you can check your skills, mails, and even market orders. Another excellent tool from the brilliant EVE community!

  • EVE Online: Odyssey 1.2 has been deployed
    • EVE Online: Odyssey 1.2 has been deployed on October 22, 2013. This patch includes multiple character training and numerous defect fixes; further information is available in the patch notes.

  • Video - EVE: The Second Decade Collector's Edition -- The Unboxing Trailer
    • In this video we unbox the EVE: The Second Decade Collector's Edition and dissect minutely its content. Check it out!

  • Old Portrait Services Temporarily Re-enabled
    • The old character portraits, superseded by the current character portraits with EVE: Incursion 1.1 January 18, 2011, are currently available again until October 28, 2013. Check also this thread.

  • Background information about mini-games and hacking
    • CCP Bayesian answers some questions about the origin and development of the exploration and mini-game mechanics published with the EVE Online: Odyssey expansion.

  • Database changes on Singularity test server
    • The Singularity database will be upgraded temporarily to SQL Server 2012. Performance and stability will be tested to make sure everything is ready for the database upgrade of Tranquility at some later point.

  • Fleet UI improvements
    • CCP karkur presents improvements to the fleet UI, for example storing and loading fleet setups and moving multiple people at once in a fleet.

  • EVE Vegas 2013 Tournament ships and fittings
    • The EVE Vegas 2013 tournament was a great success; it was casual though where players could jump into a match with a team of 5. Pre-fitted ships were provided based on the setups from the Alliance Tournament XI finalists. CCP Gargant published the ship setups now.

  • Proof that CCP is a cover up from extraterrestrials?
    • Is this video, showing a fiery ball 'landing' in Iceland, the final proof that CCP is nothing but a cover up to hide the presence of extraterrestrials on earth? Or maybe something even more sinister?!

  • Turning slowly into a Cyborg?
    • The CCP Mystery code grants one cybernetic arm. This arm can be traded around and so it is possible that characters actually acquire and equip themselves with two cybernetic arms. The first step to turn themselves into a cyborg?

  • Coming with Rubicon - Ghost Sites and new warp speed implants
    • With the coming winter expansion, EVE Online: Rubicon, new sites will be introduced all over New Eden and the wormhole space. In these sites you will be able to find items for manufacturing a certain kind of new implants. Check out the thread with excellent information from CCP Affinity.

    Yepp, thanks for another summary.

    Two comments: That unboxing is way fake, the book comes in a plastic wrap. And: Maybe I should do another (small) thukker caravan.
