I have 3 accounts I've been doing FW with nd attempting to multibox. The truth is I was tired of the eve mindset of only engaging if you have superior odds. FW is known for 1v1s but id say over half the time as a solo if you engage they will be super tanked tackle and have friends warp in.

Im having decent luck using dragoons or coercers, but even with 600 dps, there are assault frigs that can perma tank me while standing still.

I've been considering rolling 3 new characters specifically for a pvp trio can anyone give me some input on good combinations and what would be easy to play

Best way to multibox, would get your PvP character- and then a link alt. Ideailly a quad link loki. However you can always go for even more link faggatory, and get dual links. One quad link loki, and another quad link tengu.

As for ships, try and work with a kiting ship base. That way, when the target calls in friends (and they always will) you can disengae or Nano away from the gang, trying to get a kill here or there.

Find ships that are rather "Dumb" to use.. Set your keep at range commands for optimals etc, crash face if blasters. Assign drones, if you aren't using IS boxer you want to reduce the amount of cluster*#$ as much as possible.

By adopting ships with the same fits or work within the same engagement ranges you only have too pay attention to a small amount of variables. By presetting keep at range functions, orbits, etc. for each character, you can limit the amount of excess actions. That being said you still need to manually pay attention to what each is doing, for larger fleets it can get very confusing.

Rolling Links and LulzFalcons is lame.

Having years of experience dual/triple hell sometimes I quadra box I can give you some good pointers.

1 number of screens dictates number of direct combat toons you should use, aka no cloaked that are there to get in and blow **** up. Any toons you cannot look at 100% of the time should be support toons - cloaky or links. Reason for this is that with cloaky you can choose when to bring them into an engagement.

2 fly ships that do not require tons of micromanagement on a minute to minute basis. Aka large buffer tanked brawlers. Once you feel confident in your ability and target selection get ballsy, I have had many fights where i triple box (3 screens) with 2 or 3 logi pilots being operated by me. Ask tetsuo, he knows. Start with a bait cruiser then bring in dps/e war/logi cruisers to support. Pinnacle of this is triple box logi for an entire gang, atleast that us as far as I have taken it, I also quadra box black ops some times. Avoid nano frigs, buffer frigs with logi support can work but still hard because low buffer tank means requires faster reactions.

3 be prepared to eventually have to find new targets regularly as if you operate in an area for a while people will get to know you and your tricks so don't expect same people to fall for same antics each time. Knows your capabilities and those of your enemy and you will not be in peril in 100 battles. Something like that anyway - Sun Tzu

I have found multi-boxing active PvP to be very hard work … partly bandwidth and client response time considerations, partly screen real estate issues, and partly just plain old workload problems.

Because of these I have tended to keep my multiboxing PvP for selected situations that I can control (or try to control) fairly well. I mostly multibox for w-space cloaky-camping or magic-bubble camps in nullsec, and I avoid situations where I cannot control the engagement environment to my favour. My PvP multiboxing has tended to be quad-boxing with two characters being very active, one occasionally active, and one quietly boosting and occasionally checking DS.

For w-space I usually employ:
1. A highly skilled booster, flying a 4-link loki (fitted with a 5th which is swapped in and out depending on whether I am using a recon) and, where possible, lurking at a remote safespot that is not immediately visible on DS from any celestial.
2. A falcon … rarely used but nice to have available.
3. Two DPS bombers … I usually only use one, but the other is backup.
Here I am usually tackling single ships, mostly relatively easy kills. More often than not the second DPS ship or the falcon do not get used.

For my bubble camps I use:
1. A highly skilled booster flying a 7-link command ship. Previously he was skirmish implanted but I’ll probably start using a RF implant for this.
2. Triple-web huginn … to keep the targets happily 40+km from the edge of any bubble and 50+km from my people;
3. A falcon … rarely used but nice to have available.
4. A drone-boat DPS ship, most often a Gila (chosen mainly because I had heaps of BPCs from running the Guristas pirate arcs).
Here my targets are kept at arms-length using the magic-bubbles and huginn webs and they are killed using drones. Only a couple of times have I brought the falcon into play, and they have been when multiple targets have fallen into my little honey-pot … and some of them start burning out and trying to tackle my people.

My main enemies in these pursuits have been:
- The blue donut-of-death when the client seizes-up and I cannot do anything … hate, hate, hate that;
- Range management … losing tackle because I am not entirely on-top of all the workload;
- Capacitor-management … losing everything because I am not entirely on-top of everything.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Lol. Great thing about eve is that there are not so many set rules as to how it *must* be played. People can adapt and adjust to their own circumstances and inclinations. That, and the inherent complexity, is what makes it such a great game.
