So umm... WTF W-space (the region, not Mister als group ill get to you later)

The long standing "kings" are all but dead. Aharm joined Noho, narwhals/exhale/whatever they call themselves are so splintered that they dont even matter anymore, SYJ... and thats all I really have to say on that one.

Seriously W-space what in the hell happened? I go away for two months to play ffxiv and I find that the only people left are either blue(ish) or are in a completely different time zone that no amounts of poorly translated borat quotes could get them to fight.

W-space (the alliance) keep getting dunked on.

Whale girth was fun, but that was a farming fleet we dropped on. (hilariously I might add)

So here I am, no trolling, no games, issuing a challenge to all of W-space. Next time any of you, find anyone else of you. Dont roll instantly wanting to run that instrumental in your hole, or pretend to all be asleep cause you only have 7 people on. Come out, and fight. Skillian Verge, a group that HK alone completely dwarfs, saw us, saw our numbers and got bait ready hoping we would take it. (Never not take bait unless its an orca scanning on a hole cause thats bitten) And they rightly dunked us hard.

More groups if Skylian Verge can do this, any of you can.

So my challenge is clear. Next time any of you major groups see of the other major groups, come out and fight. Do us all a giant favor and bring back the content to WH space. Dont just roll your hole hoping no one saw you.

IMHO I think most people agree that when both sides are about equalish w-space fights are really awesome. Thats was also often the reality years ago when a lot of pvp corps had about the same numbers. Problem with w-space pvp are that numbers are more a key factor than anywhere else and people started to blue each other and form giant fleets to get better odds.

I know in nullsec our 10 men gang often wins or equals against fleet with 30-40 dudes.
In w-space same fleetsize would loose so hard against 30 dudes or even 20.

We spent hours to come up with comps that can fight against big numbers in w-space but man, I'm not really sure if its possible except some hit and run tactics.

Sometimes groups go for downshipping and get half staged t1 cruiser fights at sun but TBH is as thrilling as loading up SiSi and pvp there.

Wish there were better mechanics in place

Don't forget the splintered VoC in your list btw

I don't know the answer to your first question QT, but here is what I have to say for myself which is somewhat relevant:

Personally, I got bored and moved on. I wanted new challenges.

Originally I came to W-space for an adventure, which I got in abundance, however W-space became less mysterious and adventurous overtime. It was time to make a change after that realization.

I committed my services to Bite Me to the best of my ability, killed tonnes of ****, made friends and had a great time. Then signed off. The cycle is completed.

W-Space is a sad state of affairs right now.

C5 after C5 is either dead, or the farmers don't want to play. We call ourselves WH corps but I'm starting to spend more time in the connecting nulls than in the actual holes.

It's no wonder groups are moving to the lower class holes.

It's a game design rather than a player behavior problem IMO.

Nah... pure ganks are quite boring in the long run and it would just lead to more dudes leaving w-space.
If people are risking ships costing about .5-4 bil each in pvp, you really need a half decent way to replenish your losses.

QT McWhiskers, corporations are merging into few oversized alliances blueing up with others and you are surprised why W-space became dull space? Say thanks to Ceos who manage corps and alliances poorly and make little people suffer.

Well I think what happened is people get used to having fights. If you take it back few years you will notice that there were way less fights in general in wspace. I am not saying that current situation is great but its not super dire yet anyway.

What wspace needs is a shakup in form of changed stats/behaviours and additional content.

Ghost sites will be added to wspace in Rubicon, while a minor step in the right direction it is a step in right direction. I hope the trend will continue.

Besides everything mentioned in this thread I personally think that the biggest problem is that people became lazy. So **** YOU lazy people!

I'm thinking the alliance mechanic itself is better suited for null-sec and hoping for a time in the future where w-space is filled with lots of small corps. I've been watching History channel youtube videos a lot lately, so I compare my dream to Rome and the Germanic tribes.

Also, buttsekz.

That is all.

just tell em to stop "improving" exploration they ******* suck at their own game. Custom probe fromations was nice (an UI improvment), the rest just plain horrible. Infact I argue Oddysse de facto removed exploration from the game, as that Team Trisomie 21 sig scanning device is always showing everything right away, not much exploring to be done after that.

Ghost sites, they are not even sigs, its a ******* joke to even sell em as exploration, as for selling em as a small WH feature, well lets say if we start celebrating they didnt forcefully removed them from W-Spce I think it clearly shows the current state of CCP incompetence when it comes to WHs.

Bane is wrong. Bane is always wrong. Bane is a noob. What's wrong with Bane? Bane eats too many grapes, wears a red jacket and is a noob.

Bane really is the problem here. He started the trend to create large overall crappy wh alliances. He started the mandatory bat phone program. If Bane would just stop talking - wh space would be sooooo much better.

Aside from the evil Bane has brought upon us I'm not sure what you're looking for. It kind of sounds like a 'you guys should fight me or else' thread. We've had manyseveral of these threads and they haven't changed anything. (one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results)

I think Sushi provided you with the answer you seek. If you're not having fun, then move on to something else. You'll never be able to get other players (especially eve players AND especially especially eve wh players) to do what you want. Quit asking/demanding/begging for them to do other than what they will do. You can't control them.

Actually that brings a solution to your problem to light. You're in a big alliance. Tell your corps in your alliance THEY HAVE TO FIGHT EACH OTHER EVERY TIME THEY MEET. You can control your own peeps. If what you guys truly want is just good fights, then roll into yourself and kick your own butts. Instead of complaining of a percieved downward spiral in wh space, create your own epic inter alliance fights. Report back to the forums of the epic wins/losses and how much fun you had and folks will be drawn to the action. (this will require work on your part and not on our part, so it isn't all rainbows and unicorns)

If you want more than good fights, then the above won't help you much. If you want something other than good fights, then please tell us what you really want.

QT,

One question back for you. As one of the largest, if not the largest single WH corps, do you think it helped or hurt the situation by joining an alliance? It seems to me that big alliances simply reduce potential targets in WH space.

I think this is a good idea from the OP to take fights and stuff, lately i've been more of the opinion of just well **** it lets do it!

We actually went into your home system the other week but were shocked that no one was home but a bitter scout who got caught.

However even chance encounters with entities such as yourselves those mighty self important people that have spoken up in this post, the chances of us meeting are slim ish even.

We need more of a drive to bring people in but im no expert on how ect..

And the whole 'lower class wh space is the shiz' stuff doesn't float with me, chances of random drakes coming into your hole to gank are great im sure but yeah..
