Thought this site looked familiar. Then I realized why...

WTS: Beautiful, elegant Lotto Site with complete API features

So you're the sucker who bought this lottery software...from the person who tried to sell people on buying a concept from them for 100b.

Well, at least you got something from them...

Also, I find your claim that "this is a brand new lotto that by day 4 has already dealt out over 14b of prizes" to be rather questionable.

In the above-linked thread, your site was announced on May 23rd, 2013, and a claim was made that winners had already won 15b since it launched a couple days before that post. I'm not sure how you were able to 1. jump in time and 2. lose 1b of prizes.

A claim was made 6 days later on May 29th stating that winners had already won 30b in prizes off your site. So it actually seems you've managed to lose 16b worth of prizes?

So, in one place or another, someone is lying. That's not really a great way to build trust for your new lottery.

Your site stats are also interesting for your leaderboard. The programmer of the website (Vixen Soul) has won nearly 1.5b in prizes. We can discard that, though, since it's likely able to be attributed to the programmer's incompetence and much of that may be test data.

However, the leader? 17.5b ISK won. The next closest being 4.2b ISK won. Wow, that is one lucky player. How do I get that lucky? Do I have to be an alt?

Scoville Scale has always been mine, I brought and developed the site with Vixen and soul creative, it was running well and the prizes and stats are 100% correct, the reality is I got married and have been afk for a couple of months while I sort my **** out, but I have had a few modifications to the site to make it easier to administer and I am back and ready to go, so instead of throwing stones give it a go, and when u realise it is what it says then you can re-post or alternatively tell the people I have spent loads of rl money to steal 10mill from you mawww

come and try before u criticize.

As a bit of advice:

While I understand Real Life taking priority on occasion, particularly if you get married (congratulations), when you're running a lottery site, it's generally recommended to be -entirely- truthful with people. After all, when people are entrusting their money to you (which they are, since you're having them deposit it into the system before they can play), you need to demonstrate as much trustworthiness as possible.

Even if you go away from the game for a while, coming back and pretending it's your first launch of the site even when other forum threads say otherwise really seems rather suspicious. Particularly when you claim milestones in value given away which are completely off from the prior milestones, which then leads one to wonder whether you were lying before or are lying now. Either way, something doesn't add up, which is suspicious and doesn't build any trustworthiness.

As to spending "loads of RL money" to steal 10m from me...my 10m wouldn't make a drop in the bucket of a potential scam to this scale, assuming I were stupid enough to actually deposit 10m into your system. It's 1000 peoples' 10m ISK that makes it worth it.

Saying "come and try before you criticize" without providing any tangible reasons which would cause me to trust your site considering the aforementioned concerns isn't necessarily the wisest course of action either, since then you seem like a scammer who can't even be bothered to put the time in to try and sell their scam. Why would I come and try it when I already don't trust your site, your developer (I've posted criticisms on their code before, in the linked thread) or you?

You've even managed to raise another concern with your most recent post: specifically, if you're the type to go away from the game for a "couple" (May -> October is a "couple"?) of months, why should I believe that you'll stick around this time and my deposited funds won't just "go afk"?

In the linked thread, Vixen claims the site had already given away 30b in prizes. Here, you claim 14b in prizes. When you "re-launched" the site/went afk, what happened to all the isk that was already in the system from those who played in the original launch? Did you refund it? Did it carry over? How did you manage to wipe stats?

I'm still uncertain how this one person has 17b in winnings when the next closest is 4b. That's some amazing luck. Your system also seems to roll a lot of 4s.

Additionally, why would I want to choose to use this lottery instead of SOMER? I'm not saying I use SOMER to begin with, since I'm also rather displeased by their business practices, but this site seems to simply be a cheap, poorly-made ripoff of SOMER. When lotteries are constantly cycling there, why would I want to take part in a lottery on your site? Right now you have a Sabre up, which has been up for 3.5 hours, with 4 out of 20 tickets sold. At that rate, a Sabre lottery would conclude in 17 hours...

You can't even really go and say that the winnings are much better on your site. I compared your "ISK value" and actual ticket revenue on the Sabre and it shows you getting a 20% cut. It's lower than SOMER, but certainly not significant enough to make someone switch where they're playing.

Hopefully the above will help you come up with a better scam the next time you "launch" your lottery.

wow wall of words, so I stand by what I say, please give it a go before you flame something as most of the above is opinion, the stats on the site are correct so please dont blame me if someone else uses my site as an example and exaggerates.

bottom line no scam, sorry

Yet you continue to offer no valid explanations of the concerns raised. Like when you're going on vacation from the game next and shutting down the site people put money into.

Again with the "just trust me, it's not a scam, so give me your money".

The only thing you've said or displayed so far that might give you any credibility is that most scammers are more creative than this.

Everyone's money is still there, I wont make excuses for getting married apart from that i have played since 03, as I say I think you are just trying troll me because your angry at someone else.

The site wasent shut down I just withdrew any lottos from service and I still class this as a new site, rightly or wrongly that is how I see it.

Instead of bitching, try it or if you that sure it is a scam convo the people on the winners list and form you OWN opinions.

So, with their money all still in the system, you stopped providing any lottery services because you took a break from the game for RL reasons.

How did your subscribers feel about having their money tied up in a system that wasn't running while you were away? Your previous history of shutting down the lottery and keeping the money in the system doesn't really build confidence. It sure is nice that you came back so the people with funds tied up in your system can actually use them...

I am not trolling you. I am simply pointing out things you obviously didn't think through very well when creating your lottery service and hoping that you will address the concerns and put a bit more thought into what you're doing.

You want to compete with SOMER. I'm all for it. I honestly wish you luck. However, I am pointing out that based on what you've done so far, I wouldn't trust your lottery any more than I would trust being recruited by Goons and told to contract all my stuff to them to be couriered to BKG.

and I do take your points on board and I appreciate the feedback, I just don't want to be labeled a scammer without anyone providing any proof as that is unfair and I am happy that my site will answer your questions in the fact that you wont find players calming to be scammed because they haven't.
