Men's 'Luxury' T-shirt

Looks nice, and is an item with limited amount ingame, what price do you foresee it will land on when dust settles ?
Men's 'Quafe' T-shirt is around 888 mill in Jita, how rare is it and how come it has such high price ?
Will the Luxury one be worth as much and how do they compare ?

Think it may not do as well as the Quafe T shirt, which iirc costs one tenth of the figure you quote.

My reasoning is based on my very subjective perception of the T-shirt's aesthetics (I don't like it), thus I think it may not do well. I have no idea where these items come from, thus my advice is useless.

The general trend with apparel is that the price goes up slowly, though I am also wary of 'limited' items which CCP continues to de-limit at their whim.

Any colour you like.

Well the blue one cost 780mill on Jita market today.

Initial CE item prices are going to be all over the place until a market forms.

This T-shirt wasn't in CE if i am correct, i think it was handed out during eve vegas, so that means around 300 copies of it ingame and it can't be found in NEX.

CCP also hasn't stated that it was a one time exclusive so it might make a reappearance. I actually bought a few of them to outfit my characters for between 80-100m, but am not planning on investing in them for the sake of making money although I probably would have gone a decent amount higher if needed. One thing about the Quafe shirts is that they seem to be an annual tradition with only the first one not having the year listed in it's description, so I don't foresee more of the YC114, YC115 or the blue one ever being made. So in the long run the Quafe shirts might be a safer investment, although who knows these Luxury Shirts might end up being worth a ton.

Either way I think they are worth the price now for my characters and don't want to fork over a fortune for them in the future, yet am hesitant on investing heavily in them. Same position I have in sleeves which might be at a temporary low (300M) since they are no longer being issued. Who knows how easily (or at what ISK/AUR cost) they will be to obtain once CCP releases them again. Perhaps they will sell for a ton of AUR or perhaps they will give one away to each subscriber. I'm fine with whichever decision since I only have one of each and I don't regret spending 500m+ on them since I don't plan on reselling them and I feel that they are worth about that much to me.

I suppose you should ask yourself how much would I spend on these items if CCP offered them directly to every player and the item was non-resellable or transferable.

I think it is also dependent on how saturated the apparel tab becomes in the near future. I believe the value might end up being a bit higher if CCP continues to withhold apparel items. There are players that are just waiting to wear something new regardless of how it looks. If CCP were to release several different T-shirts with ships on them and gave them away as promotions over the next few months the Luxury shirts might not be as sought out.

Maybe I should have all my characters wear these matching shirts...

Well with the name "Luxury" it might just happen to end up as expensive item, prices have gone down and then up again already with not many new items getting added to market, i took the chance and did a small investment just out of curiousity. I only found it on market in Jita and Amarr, else is totally dry.Shocked

Someone just fulfilled 6 buy orders in Jita a few hours ago. I think I have the only buy order placed at 80m since then so feel free to put a bid up if you are interested. I probably will just keep it at 80m since I already have a few of these shirts, but just don't want to see these thing go for anything less (I think the next highest is 20m) at least for the time being. Even if CCP does give out another batch at another event I don't think that they will drop too much lower than the going rate for the most recent Quafe shirt. You are right though about the name as well as the description. It doesn't sound like they will be making too many of these.

I ended up buying another 3 more for 60-80m. Currently the buy orders for Quafe shirts are also at a bit of a low (I fulfilled most of them to get some quick cash to stock up on the new CE items). I still think paying the current 180m-200m (also me) asking buy order price is rather silly although I won't complain if you do. So that is my personal inside info and where I stand ShockedOops
