Day 7 now.

It's become apparent that I won't be able to kill a great deal of these people. 5 of them have yet to log in for any period of time at all since I have started tracking their log in patterns. And so, to keep the original goal of killing 10 individuals that I have a fair reason to kill, I will be raising the total list to 20. I can then call my task finished when 10 of the total 20 are dead.

A few of these individuals will have specific tasks associated with their death, where killing a ship of theirs alone will not be enough for me to consider the job done.

I have yet to pick a first target. Procrastination more than anything else. I have enough data to determine that a few at least I will be able to take care of.

Having played along-side Arduemont regularly, and as a friend in the so called real world, I can say that I feel sorry for those targets (I know who some of them are Blink). Anyway, good luck to you mate. And you have some ISK from me for war deccing, because lets face it I probably owe you ISK anyway.

This is a fascinating thread. It reminds me of some sort of pirate story. I can't wait to find out what the crimes were that they get punished for.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Aside from the fact that you joined as an ally against me...

Aside from personal vendettas...

When going after PVP corps you need to take a couple of things into consideration.

  • PVP Corps with more than 1 member never travel alone.
  • PVP Corps with 1 member never travel alone
  • Barely Competent PVP corps have alts to scout. So while your watching them with an alt, they are watching you with an alt.
  • Showing up in targets systems means you have an ACE up your sleeve. It's a TRAP
  • 1 Man corps is never a 1 Man corp. It's a TRAP
  • At any given time a competent Player has atleast 2-5 people available to provide support. Especially close to his Home System
  • Intel, Intel, Intel is key in your wars.
  • Know your enemies alts. I am rather good that and make a point of irritating PVP corps by notifying their other targets who the alts are or alts corps they use.
  • And in my experience focusing on a single player is not possible unless you join their corp and kill that person.

  • That is just the tip of the ICE Berg.

The Above is what I learned the Hard way and I mean the hardway. There is nothing more humbling then engaging somebody in a 1 man corp and then sudden 3 others undock and pops your ship.

As result my entire approach is around intel. Everything I do works on Intel.

Knowing who your fighting is already 50% of the engagement. Can I shoot down MJD Repping/Rail Domi..."wink wink" I know I can if I fit a scram and undock in my Bhaal. Am I? No because I will not be able to apply enough DPS in time for you to dock. But I can if I accept 2 or 3 people into my corp quickly. Before I even fire a shot all of the possible outcomes played through my mind the minute your ships was scanned.

Another thing is, never let your target know your there. The only time they should EVER know you are near is when they get on the other side of a gate.

Personal Vendettas on the other hand are tricky. The bounty system is flawed.. SEVERELY. The only real way to get at somebody is use an alt to join their corp and kill him. That on it's own then brings another challenge to the table which I wont get into here.

On another note I like this thread... I am not to active at the moment due to real life but will log in now and again to do some updates. If I can contribute let me know since people ask me a lot how I choose targets to average the amount of kills I get. So if you see me online feel free to convo and maybe I can help you get some more targets that you will actually be able to kill.

This isn't about getting fights. If I wanted fights I would move out to NPC null again or jump into a FW zone as you say. This is about finding out whether it's even possible to settle personal vendettas. Personal battles as it were. Not just destroying faceless ships that mean nothing to me.

Well, i'd say it isn't possible. It's the whole reason why the bounty system is still dead, and amounts to nothing more than just an extra bit of isk added onto your random kills. I always envisioned it being possible to bounty someone, and have someone go and hunt them down, specifically, and have the satisfaction of knowing they died as a direct result. Unfortunately, finding specific targets is nigh on impossible. Sure, some people do have some success, and perhaps you will too. But unfortunately the amount of time and effort that goes into hunting someone down, getting into the same system as them while you're both online and then, somehow, managing to force a confrontation, is just too much work. Good luck if they happen to be the sort of player that avoids PvP, or worse still, the sort that rarely undocks. Shocked

I've heard of people targeting specific groups of players, or areas where players fly certain ship types, and having much greater success. But that's about as specific as you can get as far as "personal" attacks on pre-chosen targets.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

I wondered how long it would take you to find this thread, and you did not disappoint.

As for the rest of the drivel in that post that every PvPer worth his salt knows, well of course your correct. Mostly. As for your being inactive at the moment you have managed to accrue roughly 900 minutes of time being online at the same time as me over the last three days alone. As you say, information is key.

The idea behind this is to test whether personal vendettas can be settled, but I don't actually have any. So I have just picked some choice targets.

I have no doubt that you could. But those are not the type of kills I am looking for.

Some of my targets are exactly that type of player. Some, even, are in an even safer position still. I don't want to give any specific details out on that one though, for obvious reasons.

I actually saw this thread when you first posted it.

Being online is subjective. I keep my client running now and again to irk targets.

As for the Drivel I posted you will be surprised how few know that. Your ally against me is case in point.
