Every now and again i wonder about the Wider eve market, or from time to time niche markets. This Query is one of those.

I was helping a Friend get Capital Component BPC's through public contracts. Some sold for as little as 1.7 Million and others for 5 million.

Capital Armour sold for 1.7 million
Capital Propulsion for 3.1 million
Capital construction for 5 million

None of them were vastly different in ME. as memory serves they were exactly the same. Different sellers though.

So my Question is.
How do people decide what to sell their BPC's at?
Are the seller's using some 1/2 agreed upon system or is everyone just making it up as they go along?

Thanks all

They're both pretty much answered as "Look on Contracts" and "Supply and demand". Since "Capital Construction Parts" are (IIRC) used in POS (module) and POCO construction, they can command higher prices than the other things.

Additionally, PE research can make things worth a little more.

Edit -> It's not so much "collusion" as "Oh hey, I see that there are Cap Const. Parts on Contract for 5m ... I can sell at 5m too!". There is less of a "race to zero" in the BPC markets than with completed ships (also, probably because the people who can afford to do it have learned why the "Minerals I Mine are Free" thinking is incorrect)

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
