Best ship to avoid Suicide Ganks?

I'm moving myself to Jita and previously haven't had to worry about suicide ganks. I know it's about to get a lot easier, but atm what would be the best ship to move around 3k max (per trip) in and out of Jita? And how much would it take to suicide gank it?

Viator with covops cloak. Moves around 10k. You can even put a stab on it for some extra safety and -2k..

Everyone can be ganked ... question is 'does it pay off?'
If a ganker scans your load he will decide it the instant he finds something worthwhile.

Create a bookmark 600km+ (better yet 10000km+) from the ejection point of the station and warp there, the instant you undock.

Put your stuff into a container and contract it to yourself (by an alt). This way the contents are double wrapped and not scanable anymore.

If you have high-value items and can use a Transporter, do so.

For jita 4 - 4 undock....

Book mark jita planet 4 moon 1. This is an instant undock for the station.

blockade runner, cloak up the instant you come out of the station or jump through the gate and warp.

Yeah. Getting thru gates is easy with a blockade runner but getting out of station undock without being locked is harder (cause you cant activate the cloak). Instant-warp points help.

If theres no suitable celestial for an instant-warp, take a shuttle, fly it in straight line from the undock for 150+ km and make a bookmark for the insta-warp.

The Volume doesn't really count, it's the value, which is of interest.

As a Jita trader, I guess, you will transport goods of high value, meaning 100M and far more.

The only real and safest possible option is the Orca with it's Corporation Hangar, where no player can scan what's inside and from where nothing will drop. So nearly nobody will risk to gank you for profit and if they want to gank you for fun they need a fleet of more than 10 ships to do so and break the >200k EHP in Hisec.

A freighter might be an option as well, but not for your 3k m3 and especially as the Orca is much faster than a freighter.

So don't waste time and money on Blockade runners or something like this. They are much easier to gank you can't fly afk or be afk a few moments. Many people will tell you, that they are working this way for years, but either they are lucky or they are Alts from the suicide gankers Twisted

Donations for good tipps are welcome :-)

If you are desperate for any overly ranked option, fly a rokh. Put cargo expanders in the lows and for the rigs. For the mods, use.a mix of shield extenders, shield booster, and invuln/photon fields.

My mining rokh could hold 3000+ m3 and had 30k+ ehp. Granted an expensive hauler, but most would not expect a cargo rokh, and well... Many other battleships could be used in a simikar fashion.

As has been stated, if you're in space you can be ganked. So, the best ship to avoid being ganked is a station (don't undock). If that's not an option, the best ship to use is one you DON'T FLY AFK! The Orca and blockade runners are both good options, but have different reasons. The Orca, if you do it correctly, can't be scanned and won't drop anything for the gankers to loot. This removes the economic incentive, but does nothing for deliberate targeting or general ***** and giggles. The Orca is also a whale; it'll take about 40 seconds to get into warp normally, though you can cut this to 10 seconds with fitting and using a MWD. If the gankers really want to kill the Orca, they will in that time frame.

The blockade runners are fast. They align fast, they warp fast, and they have the cloak. None of that will help unless you use it, though. If you forget to turn the cloak on, use autopilot, or just get unlucky you can be caught. It won't take nearly as much damage to kill one, it can be scanned if not cloaked, and everything in it can drop.

Give you're talking about small volume goods, I'd recommend the blockade runner. However, you will need instant undock bookmarks (do NOT use the planet or the moon at Jita, a determined gank group may have others waiting there for you; make your own). Never use auto pilot, never go afk while you're in space, and get into the habit of turning the cloak on as soon as you initiate warp. That's about the best you can do.

PVP is a question with no single right answer, but a lot of wrong ones.

Covops frig or blockade runner, depending on size, or an orca, with stuff that's only in the corp hangar.

For < 10k m3 use a blockade runner. For anything else use a freighter or make a contract to one of the freightering corps. Use instawarps and don't AFK boat w/ 5bil in assets in your freighter! Rule of thumb is 2 bil max imo.

A question worth contemplating, "What will the new rule of thumb be with the Tier 3 large gun Battlecruisers?"

would imagine T3 BCs will be too expensive for ganking only, so I don't think it will change something.

I object. The first few weeks maybe, but I think prices will settle around 40M - 45M per hull

?

Cruiser T3 Hull costs approx. 200M ISK and you assume a Battlecruiser T3 will cost the same like BC T1 hull? Shocked
