Opening contract window = black box

as above when in game the very first time i open the contracts tab i get a black box, if i close this window/box via the x in the right corner it appears to close but in actual fact is not closed? i have to right click on the contracts tab and select the "close" option. when i then re-open the contracts all is well?
just a minor pain in the arse
