Hey,

Is there a gallente or amarr BS capable of camping lowsec gates with smartbombs like the Rokh does? IIRC sentry guns do 300-350 dps so it needs to tank at least that amount.

I guess you'd use something like this:

Requires a 1% CPU implant or you can downgrade some modules. It can permatank 350dps when the smartbombs are turned off. However the main problem with smartbombing in a Gallente BS is that none of them have 8 highslots, so you lose out on 1 smartbomb and considering these kind of ships are built with the sole purpose of smartbombing, thats a pretty big loss.

You're best off with a single AAR Armageddon/Dominix.
Sit on gate, deploy sentries (Gardes for the max volley) and travel at least 10 km away from them.
Smartbomb all you want, enjoy the drone volleys (as long as they last under sentry gun fire).
Otherwise, the Hyperion's tank will do; just fit at least 2 cap boosters, those smarbombs eat lots of cap.

I settled on an APOC. Can only have 2 active sentries but it has 8 high slots - and it's cheap.
