EVE crash when 2 clients are open

I have no problem running 1 client, but as soon as I have 2 running, one, or both often randomly crash. Sometimes it's after 5 min, other times I can play 30 min without crashing.

Someone who had the same problem found a work around?

I'm going to bump this with additional information.

I run windows 8.1 on an Alienware X51 V2
Haswell i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz
Geforce GTX 670 2.0gb DDR5 w/ latest beta driver 331.40
16.0 gb DDR3 RAM

With this configuration, I shouldn't experience any crash while dual boxing. In fact, I can run a lot of games at the same time. (I often have EVE opened while playing Dota 2 or Battlefield, etc.)

So it must have something to do with the 2nd client iself, when 2 are opened something get ****** up.

I don't dual box so I don't have the details, but there is a specific way to do it which demands a second copy of the client. Google it and see if you can find it.

Try this link dual boxing in eve

Done my time in null sec, now I'm just a Privateer wandering around High and Low Sec.

I had the same problem. I kept the launcher window open after the client launched, and I haven't had a socket closure since.

Multiboxing "bareback" (without any mb software or hardware) is better suited using direct exefile shortcut. The launcher often uses resources that IN SOME CASES get multiple clients difficult or impossible to run. One of my computers cannot run more than one client unless I launch from exefile shortcut, however another PC I have same hardware, same OS, and same general use (play EVE) run even 4 clients from launcher with no probs.

Randomly crashing for me once occurred because of network issues. When I got 3g/4g to use in one of my PCs, I could run more instances in each PC without crashing or socket closing.

One specific problem with Vista and I saw once in Win 7 were the minimizing and full screen issue. Sometimes when you use ALT + TAB using full screen, client crashes. Not ASAP, but deppends on what the minimized client is doing. Has to do with a protective update from that windows.

I still have a problem that gets almost all the time, which is using more than 2 clients in one machine and they happen to session change at roughly the same time. Almost all the time there is a crash. It also do not happen in my 3g/4g net, just in the fixed BB.

Same issue with the crashing randomly. Never had an issue before the patch. I did notice the patch changed my video settings, I've reverted that change. Still crashing. Still not happy about this.

Ive had the same issues after the patch, try changing your DirectX to 9. Exit Launcher and re-open in administration mode, keep launcher open.
Was working ok for me last night.

If you're crashing in DX11 with an nvidia card, try this

run 'services.msc', find 'NVIDIA Streamer Service', stop it and set it to manual or disabled.
Unless you're streaming to a SHIELD device you don't need the service, and it is causing almost every DX11 game to crash for me.
