Its bad enough living on earth in RL, please don't bring it into EVE Shocked

You only realise you life has been a waste of time, when you wake up dead.

Biggest fight EVER as people realized "Earth" was Null Sec, had some great moons to mine around Jupiter, and had the best ratting ever seen.

Too many laws on Earth, the EvE community at large would be nuked while still in orbit.

Who knows. Since the EVE gate exploded, and Earth is close to it at the time of explosion, it could've been completely destroyed. The humans EVE-tizens call their ancestors might already be extinct.

Or they all settled somewhere on Coruscant with Jedi and droids and lightsabers and clone troopers and Sith and blasters oh my!

It's not close to it as Jita is close to the EVE gate.

Why do we think it's just Earth on the other side? If Earth had the tech to stabilize the EVE gate and colonize New Eden by building a system of jump gates, then Earth most likely had the ability to colonize the Milky Way galaxy as well.

So if the EVE gate opened again, it would be New Eden versus the Milky Way galaxies, and the Milky Way has a 24,000 year head start.

Has anyone actually got close to the gate?
I understand it's 3 light years out from the system gate and not an object that can be warped to and a large amount of turbulence that can tear a ship apart. All to keep pilots from attempting to reaching it.

But I'm sure some have tried to go in that direction, maybe even saved locations toward the gate that could be warped to.

Earth? Never heard of it. Lol

Well if the Eve gate did reopen and the terrans came through I'd imagine it would be similar to when the Europeans first encountered the natives in the Americas. They would most likely have a massive technological advantage and would want to take all our resources for their own.

Well, Sol system could be isolated. In that case, they didn't have the chance to evolve separate from each other like those in new eden. With out the pressure to evolve ... they could be way behind us.

They could have gone the way of the Jove and messed themselves up royally.

Gotta love the way sci-fi entertainers think small.
EVE cluster and Milky Way residents would have to be close technologically to be in conflict, otherwise one side would be the other's pets.
That's assuming that they haven't moved ethically in 24 millenia.
Since we still behave like microbes, with the strong devouring the weak and ethics/morality being just an idea and a grimace on the face of leaders, it's fair to assume a comprehensible conflict could take place.

The way we live today would be incomprehensible to our ancestors of 24,000 years ago. Milky way peeps might have turned into sky creatures beyond all malice and biological misery, feeding off stars and endlessly exploring.

Beyond a certain timeframe, human life is going to become incomprehensible to us and has no place in the science fantasy that passes for science fiction now.

Think about this comment, in context.
Look at the Jovians. Think of how awesome Jovian stuff is. Now, imagine Jovians without having to take a 170 year break from knowing how to build stuff. Imagine how impossibly awesome that would be.
