Hi,

i would like to know how impractical suicide ganking becomes with a -10 sec status with goons attacking high sec belts. I understand only the navy engages you. I am curious about the mechanics.

I assume that to gank with that status one must enter a ship, warp to target and attack in one go? What kind of devices can be used to do this? A POS with ship array? An Orca? A ship floating in space to be boarded? Does undock from station work?

Thanks for the info

Faction police engages you. They're tougher than navy, not that it'll stop you. You warp to a fleeted alt besides the target.

undocking from the station is pretty iffy, sometimes you'll get caught sometimes you won't. POS shields won't save you from the cops either. usualy you just have a carrier or an orca sitting nearby, warp pod up to it, board new ship, warp to cloaky fleetmate sitting next to target. Kill target, get popped, maybe get a shot off on a secondary if there's time, then warp back to the orca. carrier in pod and repeat.

I just wait on a low-sec gate and as soon as I have a target, jump in, move fast and complete the gank, lul.

Our mates in Suddenly Violence make a living at it, so it's pretty damn easy though requires a bit of finesse at times. You'll lose a gank ship from time-to-time, but most of the time you get into warp and land on target just as intended.

can you manage to get into missions (gates) or is the police to fast for that (assuming a minmatar BS)

Very iffy in a tempest. brutix? More likely you'd get in, but I've never tried it.

Pest/Apoc will do it with predefined bookmarks dependent on Security of the system you're in of course. Fitting a single stab in the lows helps quite a bit as the Faction boys often web you right into warp if their point doesn't work. The Cane is currently your best all around ganker for a -10, but the Tornado will most likely replace it. If it's something you're really interested in, consider throwing an app into SN. We do a lot of "traffic control" through the Sivala/Uedama pipe and you'd have someone to help you gank nearly 24/7.
