Proteus and Loki Combo for WH?

Looking to start expanding my event horizons (see what I did there? Lol) by exploring wormholes and that kind of thing.

Probably stick to c3 and below. I have some alts trained up to fly the Loki and the Proteus. I'll probably use the Proteus as my scanner as that character has the best skills...

What would be the best way to run those two for c3 and below wormholes with the Proteus as my scanner? Any experience doing something similar?

lol T3 in a C3 is such overkill. Just fly BC in those classes, you wont make the ISK back from risking the T3s in any reasonable amount of time but if you use BCs you can get it back in one hole. Drake and Cane are really good boats even after their nerfs, Harby I hear is alright but I don't fly amarr so I wouldn't know and sleepers will just chew up a myrms drones so no point using that.

My advice sitck your main combat alt in a drake your scanner in a covops and just ninja run C3s its not hard at all and you can solo them easy. If you have a 3rd character put him in a salvaging destroyer since salvage is where 70% fo your income comes from in WH space.

Also the Wormholes forum is probably the best place to ask about this kind of thing as well.

Realistically - t3s are overkill for PVE in c3s - if you're dual boxing/flying with a friend 2 BCs will do it fine as none of the sleepers bar one site scram (a data/relic from memory)

I'd go in with a pair of drakes/myrms/prophecys ect and just have a probe launcher in one of the high slots.

Best of luck,

If you're dual boxing T3s are overkill for sure, 2 BCs will do fine and you can just slap a probe launcher on one of them. However the T3s do bring some cool stuff to the table like being able to have one PvP fit or cloaky so you can do some hunting on top of doing sites.

Not sure what world you guys live in but T3s are great for C3, and only super bling fits will work for C4. Running 2X T3 you can run any site a C3 can offer (I would like to see 2X BCs running a Database or Recursive) (10 min sites and with a 50mil pay offer per site on average thats a pretty big haul )

Most BCs will have a hard time tanking C3s unless you totally Nerf the DPS at which point the site times are horrible.

PS not really a huge an of the Prot of Loki for C3s. Loki does not have great tank and both have issue applying DPS ,long range guns have bad tracking and short range guns are very short range (drones have flight time and will die if you are not paying total attention.) Tengu and Legion are pretty good with the legion being the cheaper of the 2 (shield mods are $$$$) .

Andrew Indy knows what he's talking about. T3's are an order of magnitude better at C3's, and Legions & Tengus can run the anomalies solo in less than 20 minutes. A Drake will tank the anoms in a C3 but with such anaemic dps it'll take you 30 mins solo, if not more. And more time with your rear end hanging in the wind means more chance of getting pounced on - especially in anoms.

I'd recommend you stick to C2's for starters. Drakes can run them very easily, as can the Cane. Fit for lots of frigate rats. Get used to how Sleeper spawns appear, and where. Get used to their naming convention, and how to prioritise what targets. When you feel you've cracked C2's, do the research on C3's (Eve Survival ftw) and try some anomalies in a BC. You'll soon learn what you need to improve your speed of completion, which is what wh farming is all about.
