"I would like to point out this to the trolling idiots that can't seem to read and immediately post a rude comment about this being some kind of "begging".

I will excuse such, as you are probably so ignorant, clueless and tactless as to not understand how absolutly rude and insulting posting such is to a service man and I suppose that doesn't matter to the types that post such things. They will never know what it means to do anything for anyone other then themselves... I should have remembered that the internet is where people like this dwell and my mistake for even thinking that anything other that that would ensue. "

I am not ignorant enough to go on a forum full of strangers and try to invoke pity because I was a "service man" who is sick. Join the others who feel the need to share that they are "ADHD" or "Dyslexic" or "Autistic" in order to justify the dependent nature of their lives and their subsequent failure.

Have a nice day.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

I see now why he deleted it. He goes off on some guy throwing homophobic slurs at him, which is not allowed, and tells the guy to "drop dead." He also suggests that other player has done nothing for this world like he has. He also suggests he might beat up the other player if he saw him in real life. You'd think this guy was James Bond or something but now down on his luck.

wow

I am on disability for Epilepsy, a frontal lobe deficit, and brain damage. totally not kidding, but I like to do great things in EVE and tell people that, in order to change the way they think about people with problems.

Did you think, with all of your years in the military, the reception in EVE when you asked to be rescued, would be like a patriotic homecoming, or the trashtalk of local in Jita? Probably closer to the latter. People aren't grateful in EVE and you knew that. you are being self destructive with your postings.

I am sympathetic and trying to be helpful. I cant solve your game problem.

I think this guy was armed forces, I don't care what he calls a post-secondary institution. His behaviour is out of control, but I hope he finds peace....Sad

Quote:

Greetings, I have a problem, and while I am very self-reliant in most things, I have finally hit the wall on what to do here with my RL situation as it related to IG experience and continued EVE citizenship.

Limited Personal Information:
1. I am a US Veteran, classified a "War Veteran" - due to my service from 1986-1988 R.O.T.C., and then my enlistment from 1989-1997 in which I was involved both in the "Cold War" while in W. Germany, and then in the "Gulf War" in 1991, in both cases I was with the 3rd ID, 2/64th Armored as a M1A1 Tank crewman and then commander in that unit, I the later rotated back to the US and was with the 5033rd Training Battalion while I went back to university, and then had a career in information tech.

2. In 2008, I had already had a few issue with my health, probably service related, I have been fighting an on-going battle with the VA for my "entitlements", but for four years now I have steadily declined in my health - I am not going to get into it, and I would prefer not to talk about it - just letting someone that is reading this understand where I am coming from, there are a lot of similar veterans out there and I am not saying I am anyone special.

3. Due to this I haven't been in full employment for a while, but I am not getting any pensions or any benefits either, I live on an extremely limited income at present, every year is getting worse with the economy as it is, and that my savings when I had it have been used up for living expenses, recently as a kick in the teeth, the congress cut spending on EBT, and that is how this soldier eats daily at present and for the past two years, and I am not the only one, but that is another subject.

4. With all of the above, I have kept EVE as a hobby and interest when pretty much everything else gave way to the above, I can basically read, write, converse, and use a PC, but my other activities are very limited, I should be on disability, but welcome to the realities of being a veteran... I am on a waiting list, pending, etc....

You ain't getting "entitlements" because you're a bogus scammer. It's actually very common and the scammers always start by talking military mumbo-jumbo they memorized. Go to the local gas station with a gas can and tell everyone your kids are trapped in the car a few miles away and you're broke...it works better.

I find it hard to tell, scammers are usually NOT THAT ANGRY. That's the important part of understanding where he was coming from. People are out there who do have it hard. EVE is a poor venue for seeking compensation though.

Sometimes they are. For instance, there are countless stories of extremely angry miners on www.minerbumping.com who believe they can mine in New Order territory without paying for a permit. They are trying to scam other miners, the New Order, and the whole community by not paying their fair share.
