hello i hope it is ok to ask this here
I have a gtx 460 1gig card had it for a few years now
yesterday computer gave me blue screen when trying to get into windows , so i decide to format the computer than it boots fine. But as soon as i install video card driver, it gave me blue screen then auto reboot it self when trying to load into window 7. I try older drivers still same result.

right now i am still using that video card but no display driver installed.

is it safe to say the video card is dead? the thing is i dont notice any strange behaviours in the video card during the pass few days and i never overclock the card.

i did play in the test servers alot with dx 11 i guess. but that couldnt possible killed my card right ?

What does the BSOD say? Take a picture and upload it if it's too long.
You might need to turn off auto reboot to see it (google).

This probably belongs in the issues forum :)

Sisi couldn't have broken anything hardware related, no worries there. BSOD's can be notoriously difficult to pinpoint the cause of sometimes, it's just a fault in the kernel of the OS - but that can be caused by literally anything. 'Optimistic' memory timings, poorly coded drivers, faulty RAM, even a dying power supply have all caused it on my systems.

Nvidia drivers have been notoriously bad for blue and black screening over the last few versions (the last stable driver I've found for my 660 is 306.97 - every one higher than that causes issues including BSOD, the newest one even stops some games from running), try downloading the oldest version you can find on the Nvidia site and using Driver Sweeper to make sure the previous driver is completely gone. If that doesn't work you'll have to poke around in the crash dump file to see if anything's causing a conflict, but that's a bit of an involved process:

You could upload the .dmp somewhere and link it here and someone might be able to look through it for you though.
