So you are judging others because people have treated them different in society? bunch of *nothing*, I understand people have been hurt over this and bladibladibla, so now we should be careful calling others of their sexuality. Look I disagree, you disagree, we all disagree, this discussion is worthless. That doesn't mean I dont think this is absolutely pathetic, and you think I am pathetic for that, but guess what people disagree and it's beautiful Smile

Hey you, gay drag queen.

my apologies if you are heterosexual because then it may be extremely offensive because at some point in time there have been people beaten up over this by other extremists!

Do heterosexual people suffer widespread and systematic discrimination? No.
Do homosexuals? Yes. What about bisexual people, transgendered people, people of color, women, survivors of sexual assault and ****, and people with disabilities? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes.

If it's being used as a derogatory and discriminatory slur, yes.

Roll As it goes my signature stays true, its all a personal opinion in the end but you guys are definitely staying true to the term dramaqueen. So much offense talking being used in EVE, but as soon as the word "***" drops oh no its so disrespectful! No surprise here, all you heterosexuals.

Your choice of verbiage equates to demanding the underprivileged to accept the continuation of a regime of distributed privileges and the lack of respect this underprivileged state entails. If they pick up the same methodology of distributing privileges, you are just as much in the right to take exception to their usurpation of power as they are to yours.

I'm merely demonstrating why slurs are offensive, and why it's none of your business as to whether they should and shouldn't be considered as such.

This is one of the most brilliantly written posts I have ever seen on these forums. Too bad the subject wasn't EVE related.

You damm right we disagree, Bubba. Hard for me to describe the degree to which we disagree . . .

But you just go ahead and do what haters do, hear?

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

See how this works yet?

Another thing that seems to have been glossed over

ITS AGAINST THE RULES

That is all

If the OP thinks she knows better than the GM, she is welcome to appeal against it

But, as Im pretty sure this has been a BS-story based on the wasted breath of a liar, nothing will happen.

I am the anti-thesis of her hero, it seems

You're right it's none of my business, but I am merely demonstration why they shouldn't be offensive, did you get offended right there because of the crippled woman? Probably not right? No need to get offended, just brush it off and move on, I didn't jump out of a van or anything.

I disagree

Another +1 like. Can you mate stop already. Because i may run out of likes to spread around.

And btw EOT. This is more trolling right now and more personal topic for people our dear Ramona to troll around , rather than discuss topic. I don't mind her doing so. I still love her as Dominiqe Altares spotted.

Funnily enough, I had a friend in the mid-90's to early 00's (we have since lost touch) who always talked about buying the domain name "rampantfaggotry.com". He never got around to it. Yes, he was gay - a burly bear kind of guy who was the most talented weaver I've ever known. Just throwing that out there.

I the term "***" is one of those that can be used by the group in question amongst themselves as a way of neutralizing outside attempts at alienation: other examples would be the infamous "n-word", "sperge" used by diagnosed high-functioning autistic people to refer to themselves and to their behavior (I am married to one of these), Jewish jokes used among Jews, etc. However when used by people who people who are outside of the group or the group's trusted confidantes, these terms really get troublesome.

All that said, I believe the OP's story because I personally witnessed a very similar incident happen to a corpmate back in August. PvP happened, smack talk in Local happened - and not even very notable smacktalk, nothing out of the ordinary at all - and one party had a hissy fit and announced that he was filing a petition. Sure enough, the next day, my corpmate received what was, IMO, an extremely heavy-handed GM warning including being told that the next time he'd be banned. Permabanned.

Over smack talk? Sorry. Even if it's whatever-ist and CCP has decided to clean that up, I think a "three times and you're out" approach would be better along with a clear policy of what is and isn't considered offensive. Because if they are going down that road, they are going to be banning a LOT of words because there are a LOT of special interest groups out there. I personally get annoyed when I see whole alliances routinely disparaging Jews as money-grubbers every five seconds. But I've never filed a petition about it. I always follow the whole EVE idea of HTFU and carry on.

Maybe I should start filing petitions, since apparently it's the new black and even a lot of posters in this thread seem to support it. ^^

The fact that I'm not offended is due to a combination of factors

  • I'm not crippled.
  • I'm not a woman.
  • That's a really bizarre attempt at an insult.

Not at all, don't forget this is in a game, I would not call anyone out for their sexuality in real life and harass them for it (or allow others to do it in my presence), but in a game.. especially EVE, anything goes and I find it ridiculous people are being offended by this. you're overreacting massively on the fact that sexuality and "discriminatory slur" is being used.

Next time I would appreciate it if you used less beautifully written english so that I with my bare understandings of English don't have to research your words. ie "You're a ****" would be a lot easier.

Also what about your comms goons and others alike?, no racial slugs are being thrown around there I assume?

I disagree
