So, I get my monthly email from CCP re eve today. It has a message "Reactive Today... 60 days subscription for 19.95. Offer ends October 20th, 2013.". I click the link and it takes me to the account page. It says "YOUR SPECIAL OFFERS
CLAIM YOURS TODAY!" But there is NOTHING to collect? No button to click on (except the standard menu bars). I can sign up for game time at normal prices... But that's false advertising, at least it is in my county.... I tried different browsers but I get the same thing. NO SPECIAL OFFER!

I'm a special person (at least my mum told me that) so wheres my special offer CCP advertised!?!?111

Is anyone else getting this?

I'm either a moron or CCP are morons... I reckon is the latter...

The special offer are 2 months for 19.95 instead of the regular 29.90.

Anyway, you should wait until you grow a reading comprehension or they send you the "6 months for 54.95" offer. Or maybe don't.

yeah but he would get 60 days with the won he got. he would only get 6 months with what you talk about and your idea costs more. Whose the moron now?

...and now we know why PISA won't test your country any more; denizens had issues telling wether the test sheet was upside down. P

Yes, 19.95 for 60 days. Thats what the email says. I click the link, it takes me to the account page (and yes I have logged in), there is no offer to click and take advantage of. I know what it says in the email, my point is I click the link then I can't actually sign up for that price, after logging in, it has a message "YOUR SPECIAL OFFERS
CLAIM YOURS TODAY!" yes its in caps, but there is no link! Someone else test it and please let me know. I only get the standard options for sign up. Theres no 19.95 for 60 day sign up once im logged in.

Seriously... am I not being clear enough. I don't get this, CCP screw up and I'm the moron?

I have seen this happen many times before actually, but the opposite. CCP will later send you emails saying there is a deadline. They will even say the offer is no longer valid. But usually they leave offers up for days after expirations. What I mean by this is the link will work after its stated end date. You are just finding the opposite situation, which is actually pretty funny. I'm sure this will be updated soon.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Thanks Erotica. Now you understand where I'm coming from, I'm sorry for being rude. Still doesn't mean CCP should be able to do this. Technically its false advertising. I realise mistakes happen, but if someone posts on the forums thats CCP makes a mistake, that someone shouldn't get flamed.

CCP is far from perfect. But I can't think of any gaming company out there that is nearly as good as CCP.

I never said CCP was perfect. Nothing in this world is perfect, except maybe your hairdo. But, they are a company that needs to operated within a legal framework that is in place to protect customers, you and I.

And, yes, there are many better and more successful game companies than CCP, I can think of several. CCP have some excellent IP, but they are definitely not mainstream, so they need to pay attention to their cliental and not make amateur mistakes like screwing up a email offer.

I simply disagree with how you measure what makes a good gaming company. Eve will never be mainstream or make as much money as games like Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto. Eve is a niche game. CCP generally listens to their players. Those 2 things are sacred to many of us.

That is why you, as a multi-millionaire, have developed a game of space-pixels that is like space-crack for all the space friends.

I agree, there is no way you could be wrong.

I think you should take CCP to court for falseness and moronitude.

I will happily provide character references for you.

I never measured what makes a good game, I don't need to, the free market does that. I know Eve is a niche game, I have been playing it a lot longer than you have. It's an excellent game, but as I said its not mainstream. I don't need a lecture from a groupie.

Lots of game devs listen to their players, if CCP listened to me, I would have signed up for $19.95 as advertised and never looked back at this crappy thread.

Apparently.

I would prefer if you didn't waive that right.

This thread wasn't about me being wronged, it was about me not being able to click the $19.95 for 60 day sign up button. I was trying to get the deal that was advertised.... I though if I posted I might have got some help. Instead I get ambushed and called names by blonds, bimbos, and idiots (I will let you guess which one you are).

This stuff happens all the time.

I can only surmise that CCP's marketing department is actually outsourced. They have no idea what the game is actually about and they are constantly coming up with promotions that rile up 80% of the people that post here.

After many situations like the OPs, I have blacklisted CCP from my inbox. I find it much less stressful than getting excited about some non existent promo they are pushing. And then you do actually get a promo started and find out you can't actually get whatever they were using to incentivize you due to the fine print that was so fine it was not even there.

They've gotten pretty shady over the last little while. The marketing department is by far my biggest disappointment with this game.

I'm constantly asking myself, just how many alts does Erotica have? Someone should go back through the forums and make a list of likely candidates!
