Hi

I wanted to look a bit into production, but i was wondering what are profitable items for NEW PLAYERs to make?

I already got tools liks iskperhour and the Excel spreadsheet, but i was wondering what i should look into for starting my manufacuring Business... So what easy stuff should i take a closer look at?

Thanks a lot for any pointers...

Very few people will tell you what is profitable. Get Production EFficiency to 5, and run your numbers with that. Try and figure it out yourself

Like the link provided says, the important things to look for are profit and volume the item sells.

You can use a link like https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/blueprints/ to check profitablity, you are able to adjust the prices for the raw materials there as well. An excel sheet is nice because you can factor in all your taxes, broker fees, BPC costs and courier fees into the final price before you work out your estimated profit.

You also need to remember that manufacturing is only a step in the process you still need to actually sell the items, so factor in those taxes too unless you are able to find a bulk contract buyer.

I normally play in EU timezone, so if you have any questions and I am online feel free to shoot me a convo.

I also use IskPerHour to do a quick profitability check on an item before building.

If you already have IPH (IskPerHour) then why create this thread?.

It will tell you exactly what is profitable and what is not.

I didnt override the skills to PE-5, and if you dont do that, there are no profitable items ;)

(Actually this toon hast no PE-Skills at all...)

So looking at IskPerHour was kinda frustrating.

The link provided a lot of valuable information

Everything provides pretty much equal profit/effort, as people have programmed tools that tell them what the best thing to trade/produce is based on analysis of market data - causing everything to normalize to a certain level.

Unless you live in Amarr empire space, T1 ammo is a good place to start. Cheap and easy to build, easy to transport, always in demand.

Don't bother selling at hubs, though - take your stock and sell in other systems which have a decent mission running population. No one likes making 5 jumps just to pick up more ammo to finish a mission....

Tech 2 combat drones are always profitable to build.

Not very profitable (you'll have to find those very profitable items yourself), but definitely a moneymaker even at mediocre skills. High margin, slow overall build time (between copying, inventing, and building).

They are even more profitable if you can be bothered hauling them to prime mission running systems that are not trade hubs, such as the new level 4 Sisters agents in highsec.
