Hello,
I have just put together a Tristan fit for PvP and am wondering what ammunition to use for best results

Light neutron blaster II
Light neutron blaster II

1MN Afterburner II
Stasis Webifier II
Warp scrambler II

Damage control
200 plate II
adaptive nano plating

Trimark pump
Trimark pump
Anti Explosive pump

First, my tracking with navy antimatter is 0.64 rad/sec range about 4km. With Void I have 0.49 tracking and approximately 3km range. If I have the target webbed and am in range, which is best for best applied dps??

Best regards

Void is only really useful against targets bigger than you, use faction antimatter and always have some null with you, for those scram range kiters.

Typically, you just run 3 ammo types.

Null - So you can fight the auto cannon dorks that 'think' if they stay at 4km they are safe from blasters.
Void - As stated earlier. Bigger ships, or double web dog piles where you just keep at range at optimal
Faction Antimater - Everything else

In fact, using void with keep at range can have good result for melting your oponent's face, but I'm gonna lose some trust points for saying such an heresy.

Also, all which matter is tracking, not the ammo, so in fact you have better tracking with tracking bonused void than another with non tracking bonused FNAM, and few guns track more than 0.5 anyway. So as long as you can orbit at 1000m instead 500m, you should be fine.

honestly i would just avoid going too close range with a tristan
said that a tristan with void will track better than a icursus with faction ammo so void is totally fine but still i would use rail and kite leave the drones do the dps

Tristan doesn't have a damage bonus to blasters. I recommend fitting smaller guns, like 75mm rails or electron blasters. That should give you enough space to fit a 400mm plate (with an PWG rig) or a 200m plate + neut.

.49 tracking is perfectly usable in many circumstances.

OP: void will be fine in two circumstances

-You're fighting a slower/higher-sig ship. With anything destroyer+ you'll be better off using Void. Additionally, any fat ships (shield-tanked frigates with bloated sig radii) would also be fine to hit with void. Lastly, you can use void any time that you can keep them from orbiting you.
