I didnt know where to suggest this idea but i personally thought it was a good enough idea to bring to developers attention. Lets see what others think?

Pod Bus:
A new destroyer sized bus that can transport pilots pods/capsules while they are afk or at work. Maybe able to hold 5 pods at a time? This could start another branch of economic development. If the transport is caught by a dictor they can not eject to make some kind of risk. Good transport pilots could make a Corp or alliance based off of this idea to make more money from the pilots that do not wish to jump 46 jumps to a new deployment. (people that do not have the skills for carriers and such).
Maybe have a +1 or +2 TO warp strenght.

* Pods would be dropped off in the same fashion that a courier would be.*

Can we store them in carriers' SMAs while they carry pods? Would mean insanely fast deployments of null/lowsec alliances.

Doesn't the clone vat bay on rorquals and titans already kind of fill this function even if it is just a one way jump?

Hmm that brings up a good thought ... Maybe a contract if the pod is lost. pilot needs to pay just like a failed currier contract. wasnt their talk about salvaging implants at one time?

Well kind of... but what if you want to get a pod that has a full set of expensive implants in it... thats where this new type of ship would come in and get your investment out in a safe (as can be) way.

I've had the same idea before. Never posted it because it just wouldn't work.

Nobody would want to pick up the contracts with massive collaterals. If there were no contracts and no collateral payments, every "pod bus" would be going straight to hell.

Would like to see a titan-sized mobile station though.

Instant travel recipe...

step 1 choose a station with medical facilities near where you want to go and set it as your clone home base.
step 2 undock in your capsule in null or low and type into local 'Pod Express'.
step 3 settle into your new quarters in your new home and marvel at the convenience of Pod Express, New Eden's original and best loved insta travel service.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...
