Hi Guys,

I want to spend more time on wormhole living and PVP (when ever possible). Since i am pretty new to eve and to PVP i am loosing my ships in FW. Its getting very difficult to generate ISK.

Currently i am doing lvl 3 missions and the ISK/hr is very less. I believe i am getting only 2m per hour or so. I have an ALT toon using which i do trading to get ISK.

I was reading forums and came to know, Ratting could be one form of constant ISK. My SP - 2.2 M , I am currently using Harby to run my mission. Having said that, can you guys suggest how can i maximize the ISK/hr ?? and where can i effectively hunt for generating more ISK.

- Thanks.

I would advise you to try ratting or exploration in low sec. You have to be on your toes, because low sec PVE can be very risky depending on your area, but in a way that will serve to get you some more PVP experience. Ratting will net you ISK from bounties and pirate tag drops can be very lucrative albeit rare. Exploration is a little less risky because players will have to work a little harder to find you and can also net good rewards for the willing PVEer. Either way, you will certainly do much better than 2M an hour.

If you are in Faction Warfare I suggest you run the complexes in some of the "backwater systems" with a fast, ganky frigate. Just kill the NPC, orbit at long range, and GTFO when someone shows up. They'll get the message after awhile and leave you alone (usually).

Take all the LP you earn to buy stuff from the Militia LP store and sell it for gobs more ISK than you could even get from missions.

If you are bored of FW and mission running, you could always run DED sites. Not all of them give modules but when they do you can make a fair amount. Today alone (I have come across three DED sites, one didnt give anything except bounties and bog standard loot whereas the second two gave me dedspace modules. One gave me 1 x Gistum 10MN MWD (about one hundred mill) and 1 x Gistum 10MN Afterburner (about 90 mill). The second gave me 1 x Gistii 1MN MWD (about 30 mill) and 1 x Gistii Shield Transfer (about 3-5mill).

In short, today (about 2 hours or just under of gameplay), I have made 210mill (thereabouts including loot, bounties and DED modues) in hisec DED sites.
If I feel adventurous (and have more time) I run lowsec DED sites instead which is considerably more ISK but they're also a lot harder and of course in Lowsec you can be shot at freely rather than just having to survive until CONCORD arrives.

People say there is no money in hisec DED sites, but for a new player there is.

Although I will say you have to find a nice quiet area far away from the trade hubs, because otherwise you wont find any sites whatsoever. (And stay out of Caldari space, its ram packed).

Hope this helps.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

After you know how to fit and fly a ship, missions are mainly a thing to get Standings and LP, not ISK directly. Exploration sites are a better idea, both DED as well as data/relic sites. Smart lowsec ratting, and selling clone tags in DED or CONCORD stations are good sources of income, as well as setting up some PI projects in lowsec. Also, don't try and make the big bucks in one go. You don't need a billion ISK as a new player: what you need is the ISK to stay involved in the activities you enjoy.

I have an idea of what I should have as a 'buffer' to fund my activities. There is no need to bump the wallet any further then that. Set small goals at first and scale them up as you go. Start various projects to keep yourself occupied, don't put all your eggs in one basket. My main activity is lowsec PVP, but I also have some carebear projects here and there that make a pirate's life a lot easier. Don't underestimate the value of good social contacts in the game. You can make good ISK servicing your corp or alliance by jumping on to demand. And there's absolutely no shame in that; I am happy to pay my alliance mates for any conveniences they can offer me.
