Somer Blink Boycott Thread

I will keep this short and sweet. There is another GD thread to do your ranting, so let's keep it there. Let me also say that it is no secret that I am very fond of both CCP and CCP Navigator. I believe the latest scandal is more of a misunderstanding, and heads do not need to roll.

That being said, I believe for many people that this may be the last straw of seeing Somer Blink appear to have an unfair advantage. In many ways, they may have had what you call a "first mover advantage" in Eve gambling followed up by great networking and advertising. I know that others will not boycott Somer unless they find an alternative way to risk their isk.

Below I will list a handful of alternatives for those who like to gamble or otherwise risk their isk for a big payout. I encourage everyone to vote with their isk and choose another venue for their gambling interests.

1. Evealopalous www.evealopalous.com and soon www.iwantisk.com

2. Eve Online Holdem www.eohpoker.com

3. My game of course. If you can read simple rules in Bio. Selected prior contestants can be found on www.minerbumping.com

As far as responses, I simply ask that people reply to this thread with something short and sweet if they support boycotting Somer Blink. Something as simple as "I pledge to boycott Somer" will suffice.

I will keep this short and sweet too.
This will get locked.

I don't see why. I'm being quite polite and asking others to do the same. Locking a thread like this would not do much to inspire the community.

Yeah, this needed another thread.

Especially one endorsing account hacking local spamming bots, a poker site whose banker was ganked by the devs for streaming himself using a bot, and a jita local scammer.

I am merely listing some suggestions. You can choose your own alternatives. The important thing is that we don't go off topic. A simple "I support the boycott" is fine.

But what happens when Mittens tells you to use his new lottery? Are you required to forget math, or just to ignore it long enough to do what he told you again?

Let's all be civil and stay on topic. I'm sure if Mittens started a lottery, it would be a hit in its own right.

Keep the negativity in "that other thread."

Simply respond with support of the boycott if you so choose.

I'm very happy to see so many supporters so quickly for the Somer Boycott.

Who else will join us?

You're more fun when you're quitting eve forever again, or threatening to gargle goat ***, or any of those other fun rage aneurysms you were told to have yesterday were about.

Tell mittens to up your outrage level. This version just doesn't have that same moral highground.

You care about him way more than I do. Why don't you tell him yourself? Tell him your real feelings for him.

I think Mittens and James 315 are both sexy and smart guys who do lots of good for the game. But that's beside the point. Who else supports the Somer Boycott?

Year or so ago. EOH guy was live streaming himself using a bot. The Devs went to the system he was in and ganked him before they banned him, for great comedy. EOH owner dude did a "Gosh we didn't know he was a botter, I guess we'll kick him out of the corp, because that matters since CCP just banned him" post.

So like I said before, choose another way to boycott them. Who cares. Contrary to popular belief, 100% of Eve players are not 100% aware of every little thing that someone did or posted in forums. But let's stay on topic.

If you support a Somer boycott, state that fact and maybe tells us what you will do with your isk instead. Those that go off topic or troll the thread just contribute to the problem not the solution.

What?

I fired that banker on the spot, and was pretty mad with CCP Stillman about not being on the killmail! Big smile

OP: I don't think that boycotting blink will have any positive outcome. It'd be better to voice concerns in the other thread.
