I dunno about all that, kinda extreme to threaten the man's livelihood isn't it? he definitely does deserve some sort of censure though. perhaps ccp can apologize to us again, like they did after incarna. i do support deletion of the items in question though. as it stands, i am strongly considering letting my accounts all lapse, as this kind of blatant favoritism and item spawning directly impacts my profits and gameplay style.

Delete the items, but I couldn't take his livelihood. Remove him from any position of management though, if this was his project. I don't know where you got the information that this was his idea though.

I don't know what a Fired is, but if CCP Navigator has one, I don't see why he shouldn't keep it. I mean, it's not like it would have been spawed manually in the database and assigned to him, right? Because that would be bad.

I am sure there is more than one person involved in such a decision so its rough to single him out. However mistakes were made, however all employees make mistakes. It is part of working, not learning from them is another matter though..

Ofc not. companies paying bonuses to people that help sell their product is normal. people shouldn't be fired for doing their job. Somerblink sell a lot of in plexes for CCP and provide in game entertainment for vast numbers of CCP's customers. A few of whom are now angry that people got different coloured pixels for helping CCP and they didn't get those pixels despite the fact that they didn't do anything CCP regards as requiring the different pixel colouration.
I can see why whoever invented hulkageddon might be upset.
I can see why the people that designed and organised burn jita might be upset (not the people that carried it out the people that planned it and set up the ships for it)
I can see why James 315 might be upset.
These people create huge content and bring in a lot of new customers.
The rest of you are just being whiny children.

This may all be a lie accepted by shoddy reporting.

I am reasonably certain that CCP is confirming this is the real deal or not.

There are a few things people need to think about first.

1) This could all be a smoke and mirrors.

2) A petition will never lead to a hiring/firing decision by CCP (if you all remember the mintchcip situation)

3) Nobody has heard CCP's side of this yet.
