Bored pilots are bored.

20bn is barely worth mentioning when coming from CCP. I dare say that if it gets them a couple more years of service from SOMER, and SOMER keeps pumping tens or hundreds of billions into sponsoring events etc, then it is a good trade.

This has nothing to do with promoting CCP to the outside world, and has everything to do with favoritism towards a player group.

Disgusting. Idiotic. Those are the closest words we have, because there really is not a word for this in the English language at least.

It's not about the money.

Then you're kidding yourself. People are crying because other people got something they didn't get... and CCP chose not to tell the entire galaxy so people didn't QQ all over themselves.

These ships enter the economy in one way and one way alone: CCP.

Nor are they exclusive to a particular challenge, which was a bit of a ****-move on CCP's part offering old alliance tourney ships.

I'm fine with it. If you want CCP to send you something shiny for *effort* rather than just because you're cool, then by all means, go and make something.

This is pure nerd rage without bothering to check the story. TMC have used no journalism worth talking of in their story. They have provided no verification. Only a lousy screen-shot so easily fake-able. Anyone falling for their story as a cause for rage should be ashamed of themselves.

Now, if CCP come out and say 'yes it's true and we think we are in the right'.... Then go shoot the monument and I might even be there with you. But right now you are nerd raging over a TWO MONTH OLD story.

If the SS is faked, do the research for yourself and find out, then you have a case to defame tmc.com.

Otherwise, be entertained, or not.

Yo dude, just so you know... When trying to make a point based around a specific figure (in this case 20b) Please make sure that your figure is not full of ****. The reality is trillions between this and the aur items, not 20b, there is kind of a difference...

Here is a random article from CNN, please show where CNN have provided any verification for the story? Obviously they should have given time-stamped photographs of the deceased, independent witnesses and a live video feed from multiple angles.

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/04/world/africa/egypt-clashes/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

While it would be lovely for all media outlets to provide cross-reference and audience-checkable sources for every news article published, it's also never going to happen. Ever.

You're also, continually, ignoring that Somer Blink confirmed it, why are you ignoring that? Could it be because it doesn't fit your narrative?

On that CNN news story - do you mean outside of the Saudi Gazette, Reuters, BBC, Jerusalem Post and roughly 400 or so other sites around the globe reporting it in English?

Now - when/where was this corroboration by Somer? The named party supposedly sending that eve-mail doesn't show a single post on EVE-O forums in their posting history - not one, ever. Somerset also hasn't posted anything (their listed contact alt) about this topic. So any corroboration would have been through what methods?

No I'm not saying you don't have any, just I haven't seen any except what you claim as some kind of proof and to be honest - goons don't have too high a "trust me" rating in this game. More a shower-room "Is that your soap?" rep...

Eve is a sandbox. The moment you mess with it, it's no longer a sandbox. And CCP basically gave Somer Blink a cheque worth 450b isk or $15,000, to do as they please in-game. Sandbox my ass.
