So here is a general question.

So far I'm fully skilled in T3 ship legion.
Armor is excellent and dps is decent.

However I came to notice with one of my mates that fly's a
A protues and I can tell you he has great amount of dps
And armor. For sure a hard nut to crack. The guy fights 1v5
And most fly away from him because they can't destroy him.
He is a 2012 char with of course slave set that makes a difference
But really is the protues number 1 pvp ship of all T3's?

Should I be looking to skill for it?
Can anyone give me the pros and cons of all T3 cruisers?

1v5 is damn good to me in my books with full confidence in his ability
And ship he is flying. So is it because the protues a real gods creation
In eve? Or am I missing something?

Ok, I'll bite on this one. This reddit is packed with informational goodness. Most of the research I've found puts Tengu generally in first place, followed by Loki and Proteus tied for second, but then there's always the question of what you want to use it for.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

I just read what you sent me but it's not saying much about legions.
I'm looking for answers for pvp. So far I see most of my mates use protues
For pvp.

So I'm confused to know if i should train a protues or stay focused on my legion.
Love amarr ships but again i want the best on the field for best tank/dps/speed-agility..

Proteus has the reputation to be thin-skinned, at least by comparison to the Tengu. Most of what I'm reading simply says pass the Legion by - that it's not only in last place, but last place by far for many reasons. Less DPS, capacitor problems, lack of "oh, wow!" subsystems, etc.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Oh, and I've just built a Proteus on Sisi, so I'll be able to tell you a whole lot more in a day or two.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Lastly, T3 cruisers are the real deal. The steep training curve is well worth it. They're awesome!

If you only have second hand "knowledge" on T3s, just stfu.

Proteus does not have a reputation of being thin-skinned, it actually has the reputation of being one of thickest bricks possible in the whole game, which is based on the fact that it is a ******* massive brick of thick armor.

Legion is a fine AHAC for the same reasons Zealot is, mainly for Scrorch being awesome.

OP, you won't fnind the answer to your question on any forum. Fly what you like and fly best.

I really hate it when people post "WAT x IS GUD"

It's all subjective, ******* figure it out yourself.

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

The proteus will out dps all t3s within 5km, so a good question for you is what are your typical engagement ranges? Having 900 dps at 5+5 is worth squat if your target is sitting at 20km. I have been flying the legion for a while now and the choice of instantaneous range dictation is worth a lot more than you would think. 500 dps at 34+5 will likely be more useful in a lot of situations. The legion is an excellent fleet ship and can field nearly as much ehp as a proteus with an extra mid slot for utility. As you are asking the state of affairs in 1.1 the rail proteus is a good contender now. 700 dps at 20km optimal is quite good as long as you maintain a low transversal. It all comes down to what kind of pvp you take part in and what your typical enemy flies.

Proteus, hands down. A bait/drone bunny Proteus can reach more than a million EHP.

It all depends on what you want the T3 for. However generally speaking, the Tengu fills the most roles, followed by the Loki, then Proteus and I feel the Legion kinda has the least use.

If you like scorch, you should love beams. Trading ~40% tracking for 30% dps :>
And the ability to shoot recons/logi out to 120km.

This. So many "Which is best???" posts. It is all subjective. And please folks don't post answers if you really don't know the answer.

If you call 700 DPS with 200s bad yeah they suck.

They do still track like crap though, so its takes stars aligning to get real damage out of them, and its pretty tricky to get fit without becoming REALLY expensive.

Proteus has awesome dps. Best buffer. But lacks mids and gtfo ability. It also has one of the best passive shield tanks at around 2 to 3k dps vs SERPS guristas and can easily run 10/10s and L5s solo abeit slowly as its only got around 400 dps.

Even in cloaky nullified it can do 650/750 dps at 100k EHP.

I know nothing about the other t3s.
