OP is probably wondering why, as am I, it's called an expansion.

Now, let the stupid mindless comments continue.

They may be not exactly new per se, but the way their purpose is explained suggests that from now on the path to "castles in space", something any real sandbox is unthinkable to me, is clear. It will take a lot of time before we'll have fully functional player-created complexes that serve some real purpose, but this small step to allowing us to have more real "sand" than just containers and bubbles is quite significant as long as the idea is going to be expanded upon in the future.

P.S. I always though that Minecraft PvP mech makes it kinda impractical if played by rules as written. Hopefully EVE will be able to fix this gaming shortcoming, even though it is approaching to the issue from the opposite end of it P

EVEs players will always be able to generate hopes at a vastly higher rate than CCP can ever expect to fulfill. We collectively hold CCP to an incredibly high standard, which on the whole, they do an unreasonably good job of fulfilling. An occasional dose of realism on our part might not be a bad thing, though.

I think that is a fair comment.

Rubicon would be a success in my book if it delivered some highsec POCO ructions to keep people occupied until the next expansion. As long as Rubicon also includes a substantial amount of 'under the hood' work which is being built up for other features in the summer and subsequent releases I will be happy enough.

My opinion is that the T2 ship changes are also going to disrupt a lot of long-held combat assumptions and break up several major combat metas.

But there's more.

I look forward to the more. Unfortunately, the EAF changes are overpowered from my perspective in lowsec faction warfare regions.

Zappity's Adventures for a taste of lowsec and nullsec.

Shaking it up a bit is a good thing, all I want is an interceptor...

What do you expect? A new eve 2000 new systems? 20 new ships 300 modules? 100 new agents quest. 2 new rocks to mine. New T4 ships And some T2 BS? Is that what you want to have? This expands will mixs allot of the old PVP system. Some people that only know 1 trick in the book will be **** about this expands but for others its a new way to explore those new PVP system.

I think this expand "lets hoop" will be great. Love to test it.

I'm curious if they'll damage Eve further, like they did with Odysee.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Actually CCP are going to start removing features to make the maintenance/update cycle shorter and easier for everyone. Let's just say that the T3 "rebalance" is going to be a bit of a harsher nerf than most people are expecting.

We can start by removing ice and ore for awhile.

I don't think we'll be able to tell how 'big' Rubicon is for a while.

This is absolutely true. The players have asked - and CCP Seagull 100% agree - for features that are larger than those that can be delivered in a 6 month expansion cycle.

Shockingly enough this means that it will take more than 6 months for some of these features to appear.

"The players" have asked for "more conquerable null security space"? I *surely* missed that memo! Shocked

Let's discuss the plan to add more space to EVE, then. Sure we can pick some thread opened on the topic since the announcement of the Hallelujah Plan.

I mean, other threads than the one I opened: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3691502#post3691502.

I mean... oh, but there is none. Maybe someone forgot to get properly excited about the announcement of Newspace 1.0? Question

I'm going to need more than these "patches", if CCP is to keep my interest. Unless things improve, I'm out.

Malcanis. I voted for you so I am interested to hear your opinion. Are you and other members of the CSM (if you can speak for any of them) genuinely happy with the polished turds we're being handed?

Obviously the 'fix the old stuff!" is getting a bit old.

Just one favor: Let them finish fixing a few more things (1 or 2 more "fix old") update before we push too hard for new stuff - mkay?

I'd really like to see a few other fixes before it's back to adding half-finished stuff to "iterate on". Maybe 1 more "fixing up still" update - or 2... I could live with 1 more but 2 would be nice.
