first of all, I am not CCP anybody, im just a player that plays the game off and on between (and some times during) deployments.

I just wanted to re-phrase the question that others have stated to promote discussion and make people think.

the truth of the matter, if Concord was ever blatantly removed from the game, it would destroy the game as we know it, It is highly probably that EVE would no longer have the player base to support being profitable for the company.

that old saying, .........."be careful what you wish for.. it might come true"......... comes to mind

1. mass quittings

2. highseccers learn about providence. CVA and co. embark on a holy crusade hi-sec and re-establish order with huge kitchen sink/ drake fleets, their ranks swollen with the refugee hi-seccers. Aralis comes back and co-leads the campaign alongside EQ.

3. Much RPing is had. Amarr becomes the main trade hub in the game. Amarr officially victor. Provi is made HS by Ccp, shafting Provi-bloc hard.

Well, that's how it'd happen in the areas i live in :p

I would not be quick to rule out such results.

It's all about investment. The quick gratification crowd, the ones who stopped training the moment they could fly their ISK machines, would be the ones quitting. Can't rack up ISK in the wallets endlessly? Bye.
We would also see an exodus of the easy-kill crowd, those who hunt but cannot stand being hunted (they are just as much the reason for Highsec's higher population count as your rank and file carebear). Can't hunt and grief freely? Bye.

But those who always trained up would not be so quick to leave. A lot of "carebears" are people who have already been to nullsec or lowsec and back, and end up being casual players due to RL changes and obligations such that they maintain their skill que in hope for a better day. They invest time and to some extent money for this day, and so, not being for quick gratification of grinding with one eye on the wallet or sitting on a gate all day with one eye on the killboard (equally Ritalin-induced playstyles IMO) , are not going to be driven off by such a change.

If there was no Concord.. there wouldnt be a great deal of change, except that scuicide ganking will be a thing of the past

The whole game will be played like it is in null sec.. the guys that are just interested in PvE will rent from the controlling Alliance

Collalitions will make the trade hubs, Be it a NPC space they patrol or their own stations..

but in the end everything will continue

I doubt that because most all null sec gets supply runs in from Jita. Jita is a market constant that everything else gets weighed against. That constant would be gone.

The biggest impact would be to plex prices and the ability to sell them on some kind of open market to all players.

remove concord and give people the ability to hire npc mercs so you dont kill off small corps and you would need to set up noob areas to learn the game in

kinda sad to see 140 million skill point toons noobing it in high sec cause they are scared of null and warmholes =p
Rich industrials could hire the VERY best NPC mercs why should they get free concord protection =p
