What would happen to the game, and what would happen to the player base if ALL types of pvp restrictions and penalties were removed from the game.

im hopeing, but not expecting, logical rational player view point on this, im curious what other player think.

Foregoing any mass quitting speculation.

I would say most people would form themselves into power blocks for protection, taking space either by mechanics (Null) or just having the most people around. Some would live as roamers like current pirates. The markets would collapse with the lack of a trade hubs doing blanket mass production of every item. Prices would probably see an increase as AFK mining decreases but variety would be the worst hit. Regional commodities especially would be rarer depending on where you live with trading of exploration goods restricted by lack of a universal trading stations like 4-4.

Basically a mix of mad max resource poor world and lots power blocks. Blue Lists would be the new semi high sec.

I say remove concord...

let players take over the role.

if someone gets ganked the aggressor cannot warp off, eject or otherwise escape.
a beacon then shows up in local ( high sec of course ) so the people can warp to this suspect.

this would make for interesting high sec ganking in missions :)

Last time it happende by accident in 2007 I think it was, CCP banned a crapload of people and spend months replacing lost ships... Apart from that, people would just stay docked like in 2007...

If most highsec peeps didn't quit...

Peeps will lose far more ships. Less production will be done due to less mining and hauling due to risk.
Therefore prices will skyrocket, making mining more profitable to the large power blocs. Thus creating an existance where people will need to join up with one of the power blocs to make any sort of money. As pirates and the such will run amok.
for small group miners without major protection Ventures will be sought after highly.

Pirating will increase, Carebears will sit in station, and generally and fair amount of fun and complaining is had and heard.

Post it in features and ideas man! Really great thought. Keep the no warp and cloak think in place while timer runs out. They could test it in 0.5 systems and see how it works. Would definately make it more fun.

I think people would dock and sit it out, if it looks to be a real reality, there would be a massive decline in subs, not to mention the YouTube threads in all the eve videos posted and such.

The fun and games would last a few minutes till every single high sec mission runner, industrial or miner just logged off the game and never logged back on again. Then there would be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth from the gankers that find themselves without easy prey.

Honestly, it'd be kind of boring, having no more CONCORD. It adds another type of space, with new challenges to deal with.

Also, the false sense of security CONCORD gives provides me with delicious targets. People might start paying attention to local without CONCORD to protect them.

Just to get it out the way, hurfblurf I'd quit becoz all gankers hide behind CONCORD (while being outlaw, of course) and don't know how to PVP and always get killed in low....

7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided. --Eve New Player Guide

It would happen in a few stages. the initial 'shock' stage would be all the trade hubs shutting down after buy orders expired or sold out of resonable prices.
Second stage would be people forming into power blocks to defend against roaming gangs from nulsec/lowsec. Perhaps creating smaller tradehubs as regions became more player secure.
Third stage would see more stable ziones over time as these blocks started to take control and players joined them. Trade hubs would be more established in highsec again. Hubs would become established in nulsec powerblocks due to necessity.
Next would be the general wars between the nulsec power blocks against the highsec powers as things are now more stable and able to compete against each other.

Hi-sec would very probably be as densely populated as most of null-sec.

I think a lot HiSec Players that are not interested in PVP at all (yes this game can also be played without any intention to PVP!) will rage a lot on the forums and if this doesn't help (as it won't since "they" are no Power Block) they will leave the game, raging about the stupidity of CCP Devs to allow such a change. People in Null won't bother much. As said, market prices will go through the roof and the economy will strangle to stay alive. Wardeccing Corps will take over HiSec and keep it under Control as long as no Power Block decides to go for it. A lot of exotic female dancers will vanish from the market and some Indiviuals will not undock at all and wait for WiS to happen. Behind the door there will sit some kind of Jabba-ish Creature greeting him and telling him what a fine knight he was inb4 he got shot in the knee. In the end people will suffer from missing minerals and ore, will pray for miner to come back into the game and while they wait for it, try to kill each other with civilian gunned noob-ships.
