What exactly is "real" pvp perse?

Just curious, because all i have ever seen in Eve for the last 8+ years is surprise seks. Which is fine and quite fun, but seriously what is "real" pvp.

So my gank catalyst lost 100 dps without changing fits or implants or anything and I opened a ticket, after 5 days of being told it was user error by the GM's, I was finally asked to reset my cache and promised that it would not delete all my settings by the GM. So of course it deleted all my keybindings, kicked me out of a year and a half worth of intel channels, reset the overviews I had set up just right, and just made eve impossible to play without spending a day or so putting everything back the way it was and bothering the slew of people I have to contact to get back into my intel channels.

So I logged in to this site to cancel my subscriptions on all 3 accounts, mostly because CCP took out the 2/10 frig arenas, then took PVP out of low altogether by putting in WorldOfBorecraft style duels in high sec, and now after 5 days of not being able to even solo gank, they have taken that out of the game as well. At least according to them everything is fine. So the 100 dps loss must be a permanent nerf, or glitch they have no intention of fixing. Either way, I bought EvE to do solo and small gang pvp, and CCP just isn't going to let that happen. CCP clearly only cares about high sec bears, and risk averse pilots in huge null fleets.

So in 8 days my paid time runs out, and I hope they do something about fixing the problem. But before that happens, since I used to love this game and have been holding out hope that CCP will stop being horribly incompetent and clueless about low sec, I was going to ask if any players know about this?

CCP isn't going to help me, maybe the community will.

Anyone know why gank cata's are missing 100dps?

The GM's told me a cache clear wouldn't delete anything in the first place, of course it did.

So, does anyone know how to get your settings back after a cache clear?

As to your DPS issue, I have not experienced any DPS drops on the catys, so whatever it is, must be localized. Are you sure you dod not jump into a clone missing a hardwiring?
