This has to be one of the signs that the end is nigh, right?

Also, you are being a jack-ass.

sorry, not my intention. just find it unbelievable that people don't know about the greatest videogame fail ever.

...then again, if you erased this bit of your memory, I can understand that.

Nope. I just didn't have the lame kind of life where all I did every hour of the day was play every game in existence. Like an addict.

Back up and back off a bit.

Knowing the general history of Daikatana doesn't require being otaku or a turbo-nerd. The general history of the game ought to be known to anyone who has even a casual acquaintence with gaming - Daikatana is a watchword for development hell and corportate stupidity. It's only real competitor is Duke Nukem Forever.

Thank you for explaining.

I practically have the Pop Culture credentials of a Faith Popcorn or Chuck Klosterman (who is for real a friend of mine), and I cannot fathom how this one got missed by myself.

I just didn't appreciate Grim's nearly psychotic attack on me for not knowing. That's the worst kind of forum poasting, most indeed.

NP. Smile

Do look it up - it's a story to bring astonishment and incredulity to the most cynical and jaded.

Released in 2000, Daikatana probably sold 200K copies. Never played it. Not into magic sword games, or most FPS games. Remember old games don't die, they fad away,... okay they pretty much die too.
